Hall of Fame 2018
Well, figured this was the best time to start this thread:
It is being reported that Bill Goldberg will be inducted into the HOF this year. No word on if he will be the headliner.
Other names being tossed around:
Ivory
Kid Rock
Bam Bama Bigelow
Dudley Boyz
Eric Bischoff

Goldberg is a headliner name. Unless Undertaker decides hes done and insists on going in this year, Bill should be on top.
All of the other wrestlers (and for the purpose of this sentence Im including Bischoff in that category) on that list are worthy entrants, but what
the hell has Kid Rock done? Has he ever had involvement in a wrestling match or show beyond musical performance? Even Drew Carey can at least say
he was in a Royal Rumble.

I'd prefer to see Maria Menounos get the celeb nod. She's wrestled. She's hosted. She's inducted. She's been
signed as an ambassador (whatever that means) since 2013. And she's a legit fan.

You mean like supplying The Undertaker with "American Bad Ass" for a theme song and providing theme
songs for many PPV's?

She just recently had a brain tumor the size of a
golf ball removed(non cancerous, thank goodness), so I am not sure where her health his at currently.

That's a pretty solid list in CCharger's first post... probably all that is missing is:
*A not ancient legacy guy (they have a whole category for that now), but still probably from the territory days...
*A strong "B" WWE guy... yeah, outside of Goldberg all of those guys spent many years in the WWE, but I could see Vince wanting a homegrown talent
in the mix... I know Christian was gone for what... 3 years or something like that, but he's probably the guy I'd put in there, as even if
you discount his E&C; work (which IMO is nearly grounds for those two to get in as a tag team again), he's still got a resume most would be
envious of. If Mark Henry has hung up his tights as is rumoured to be the case, he would also be a great pick.
*The list could probably stand to see them honour some non-white talent as well (Yeah I know Devon is black, but he's only half black, and half
Dudley). D'Lo Brown would be a good "depth" addition, or in the legacy category we could see someone from Japan given the WWE's
ambitions over there... maybe swap Layla for Ivory (although really, Ivory should have been in long ago.)

I would so reckonize D-Lo as a "minor" HoFer. Plus, he used to hang with The Rock, so they can shoe-horn some Dwayne Moments into the proceedings
for the casuals.

So, Limp
Bizkit next year then?
He didnt write/record songs for wrestling-related purposes, WWE licensed some of his songs for their uses, which theyve done with countless bands
over the years.
Re: other suggestions...
Love the idea of DLo Brown, but Im biased because he was one of my favorites. Still a good worker who was highly over with crowds during the hottest
period ever, and holds the distinction of being the first Euro-Continental champ. Christian does feel like hed be higher up the list of Attitude era
guys though.
Could be about time for William Regal. A few years removed from in-ring retirement, and has an easily HoF-worthy career even before you consider his
contributions as a coach/trainer in the NXT system.
And induct the Brooklyn Brawler, dammit.

Thinking now that Mark Henry is probably a shoo-in to lead the inductees for next year's HOF. Really wanna hear that SEX-UAL CHOCOLATE! chant
from the audience at the ceremony too.

Midnight Express.
It makes sense as they put the Rock'n'Roll Express in last year and the Midnights were as hated as the Rock'n'Roll were loved.
The only reason they might not is because of Jim Cornette and his clear animosity against everything, but I think he would accept being inducted for
the sake of Eaton, Lane and Condrey.
I only signed up so I can read the forum.

I find interesting while Vince Snr is in the HoF, Jess McMahon (Vince Jnr's Grandfather), the co-founder of Capital Wrestling isn't.

Think Ive read somewhere that the idea of inducting Vince has been brought up in the past, only for Vince himself to shoot it down.
Hes obviously the #1 name on the list of people that havent gone in yet, but it seems like a fair chance that his eventual induction will either
have to be A) posthumous, or B) the product of a surprise induction set up by Steph/Shane/HHH etc.

I'm guessing that Vince is probably a posthumous induction (Linda too for that matter)... for probably the same reasons as why we haven't
gotten a Vince autobiography or authorize biography yet... I think the guy like's the spotlight, but also likes to keep himself behind the
scenes as well.
One thing I'm curious about, and I suppose it depends on just how back in the fold he is, but Shane's someone I could see going in before
Vince by virtue of his wrestling career... I don't doubt both of the McMahon children go in, but I could see Stephanie holding out until
she's done much like her father.
Just thinking of what "whales" we still have out there that are sure fire locks...
*Rock
*Undertaker
*HHH
*Kane
*Big Show
*Jericho
*Cena
*Orton
*Lesnar
*Batista
*Vince and other McMahon family members
You've got another list after that of non "whale" guys who are %99 likely to go in like Henry, Christian, Bryan, RVD, Punk (once and if fences
are mended) Michael Cole (yeah I said it...), Sheamus, Jarrett, the Hardy's, and I could see a good argument for Wade Barrett and his five IC
reigns and KOTR win.

I think Punk is whale worthy if the fences are ever mended.
I also believe the year that Foley, Backlund and Sammartino was pretty overloaded each of those guys I think would be headline worthy (I think Booker
T, was also in that year).
I also think that Randy Savage was such a big enough name that he could've been a posthumous HoF headliner.

Yeah, Punk like Bryan (who I also for some reason downgraded) would probably be a headliner, or at the least a 1A type of entry alongside a Kane, or
Big Show where they are sure fire entries, but maybe where the later two lack the sizzle that a Rock or Taker would generate, and the first two maybe
don't have the years in the WWE that some of the others did at the top (well, Punk was there a while).
I still would like to see them create a category for matches... probably just one a year; some all time great or historical match; like the main event
of WM 1, or Savage/Steamboat from WM III.
Given that the WWE seems to be leaning at times towards this being THE wrestling HOF instead of just the WWE HOF, maybe introduce a "builders"
category... highlight some of the legendary promoters from history, or also the odd referee, or announcer... all the other guys that go into helping
to make a great match and show (I know there are some in there already).

If youre inducting a celebrity, or even a musician, best one out there with a lasting impression on WWE culture is simple: Lemmy. Man has two
entrance themes that are still used to this day, and one of them is about as iconic as the glass shattering or the question of whether or not you can
use your nose to determine what future president Dwayne Johnson is manufacturing in a baking environment.
