I'm assuming you picked up Zelda as well? If so, feel free to post your thoughts here and/or the Zelda thread!

9.75/10

I've seen great reviews for Sonic Mania thus far, so I'm heavily tempted to give it a download on the Switch once I finish the current crop of games I'm playing through. Glad to see Sonic is back with a legit great game.

PS4:
The Shovel Knight expansion campaigns
Infamous: Second Son
Bloodbourne
Tomb Raider
Rez Infinite
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Never Alone
Just Cause 3*
Assasins Creed Freedom Cry*
Life is Strange*
Killing Floor 2*

*PS Plus games

PS3:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions
Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock
Red Dead Redemption
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Max Payne 3
Bayonetta
Okami HD
Shadow of the Colossus (I got half way through and got stuck not being able to find a boss, I'll have to start over at this point)
Mega Man 9 (I've beaten two bosses so far. This game is a BITCH and I had to put it down)
Mega Man 10

Wii:
Super Paper Mario (I recently finished World 2 and put it down to play Shovel Knight, Walking Dead New Frontier, and Rocket League)
MadWorld

Holy shit, that's a crazy backlog of games! I've only played a small handful of the ones you've listed, but the original BioShock is pretty amazing, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a kickass time (though can be quite difficult...I'm still kind of amazed that I was able to beat it on the normal difficulty setting, which isn't even the hardest setting in the game if I recall correctly), and MadWorld was super underrated on the Wii.

Back on topic: after playing through the original Metroid recently, I started a game in Super Metroid for the first time in years. Still an absolutely fantastic game, though it can be easy to get stuck in parts (even with the blessing of having an in-game map, which the original game didn't have).

They were sold out of Zelda when I got the system, but I got it yesterday. Barely started it late last night, so i haven't even really had a chance to do much of note, yet.

Thai, if you've still got an itch for an episodic game after you finish up Walking Dead, go for Life Is Strange. Awesome, awesome game. And don't let the emo-girly feel in the beginning turn you off, either. It was a legit GOTY candidate for me back when it came out.

Well, at least episodes 1-4. Then it took a total fucking nosedive in episode 5. But still, it's worth playing.

Just finished RYSE: Son of Rome- I can't remember if I grabbed it as a dirt cheap download, or one of those free games with gold thing that Xbox does, but I rather enjoyed it... The game is absolutely gorgeous, and definitely scratches the need to inflict video game violence on others itch. I dug the story and the various levels, but the hack and slash does get a bit... I don't want to say boring because it's not that long of a game, and they do throw in some range combat and boss fights, but I'd be hesitant to play it again because it's not going to offer you anything new.

Still; a fun diversion and I dug it.

I've got both Witcher III and Wolfenstein new order queued up and am eager to play both, but I'm thinking New Order will be a bit shorter and more "fun" so I might tackle that one first.

Salmon, my highest recommendation would be Bayonetta. That game is fan-fuckin-tastic.

Also, Goon, and Punker, add me on Switch: SW-6360-3815-1714

Ok, friend request sent. Hopefully I did that right.

Aside from Zelda, I'm in the middle of Watch Dogs 2. It's not bad, but so far I dig the first one more. Maybe the further I get into it, it'll become better.

I haven't played most of those games, Sal, but if I got to go back and play any of those for the first time it would probably be Boshock. Red Dead Redemption and Tomb Raider are also really, really fun.

I'm waaaay behind on games. Playing through Assassins Creed Black Flag (I'm probably half way through and it's starting to bore me.....that's why I never played hardly any of the first three of the series that I own but this one has pirate ships and interesting history {for me}). Also finally bought the Star Wars Battlefront game and play with a buddy some nights. It's fun and I'll probably grab the new one when it's released.

I download the free PS4 Network games every month and never play them. Guess I should play Until Dawn (my SW:B buddy enjoyed it) and Life is Strange. Is that the one where you start off in an empty town and it's black & white (I think?)? Couldn't figure out what to do but I was hammered and voice chatting with some buddies so I probably didn't give it the right amount of attention.

I'm playing a heck of a game at the moment called Slime-San

It's a VEERRRRY indie game inspired by Super Meat Boy, but it's got a lot of great content and does a lot of interesting things that Meat Boy doesn't. Unfortunately, being an indie game of it's budget comes some hassles, such as slowdown in big, big levels (Have only come across HORRENDOUS slowdown once, to be fair, and that was late in the 4th world).

It doesn't have the polish of other indie games such as SMB, Outland, or Joe Danger, but it's incredibly charming, weird, and has great controls. Music is quite good, too!

I recommend it.

Annnnd I just beat it. Really great 8-bit indy platforming game.

If you love Super Meat Boy, you will probably love Slime-San

Be wary, it's difficult. It's white-knuckle platforming.

Just got through Year Walk for the Wii U

I think it was 4-5 bucks when i bought it 2 years ago, and I finally got around to it.

It's a very atmospheric game and I loved the art-style. It's creepy and really short, maybe 2-3 hours for the full ending.

Highly recommended for adventure/labyrinth/puzzle game fans.

Just finished Wolfenstein the new order and I really dug it... so much that I immediately jumped right back into it to play the alternate timeline (for those that haven't played it you make a choice at the beginning that splits the game... it's pretty much the same aside from 2 different characters in each timeline, and some different perks).

Really well done game and I can't wait for the New Colossus sequel... something about killing scores of Nazi's (even moon Nazis!) in an alternate timeline is fantastic... the whole alternate history bit is well done; made me want to go out and finally get around to watching The Man in the High Castle (very similar storyline).

For those that have played other Wolfenstein games is there something up with BJ? Like is he some kind of super soldier or something... I mean he gets gutted early in the story, and he's going to be there for the sequel despite the whole nuke going off thing (I mean I didn't see a refrigerator he could conveniently hide in or anything)... just seems like he's some sort of superhuman tough guy or something.

Also, and unrelated to the above; me and a buddy recently beat Lovers in a dangerous space time... just a fun game... not sure how it would work with just one player, as there were some spots that even two people had a hard time with (thankfully we had another buddy with a PS paddle).

I caved after not having much to play and bought Rabbids+Mario.

If you like X-COM, get it. It's cutesy exterior hides a deceptively difficult, fun, and rewarding strategy game. This isn't X-COM or Fire Emblem Lite you would expect whenever playing a Mario game that's going outside of it's element. This is actually a deep game with all sorts of customization and team members that all possess unique traits. I was as surprised as anyone whose a fan of the other games I mentioned would be.

I usually don't like these types of games, but this one is fun as shit. Maybe it's the Mario aesthetic that I'm so tried and true to gravitate towards, but after having gotten to 2-5, it's been great so far.

I downloaded the Project Octopath Traveler demo on the Switch a couple of nights ago and it's really good. For those not familiar, it's an upcoming RPG by Square Enix that's very much a throwback to the 16-bit era of RPGs, right down to the visual appearance (I think it looks a lot like the SNES' Final Fantasy III, but with a 2.5D graphical facelift). I got sucked right into the demo, which gives you about two to three hours of gameplay, and can't wait to play the full game. The bad news though is that it apparently doesn't come out until 2018, so I'm not quite sure why they released the demo this far in advance, but hey, whatever.

Got a good deal on Star Wars Battlefront which I've played at a friends and it was a good time even if I found the controls a bit clunky at times... maybe with some more play time put into it... for $6 though I figure if I get even a few hours out of it I'm not doing too badly.

Before jumping into Star Wars though I'm playing Mortal Kombat XL- same as X, just with all of the DLC from what I can gather... It's fun enough, but I'm probably a bit too spoiled from the WWE games where you have like 100+ wrestlers... MK tops out at like 33, and I think you probably really have to have played the 2011 reboot first to make sense of where all the characters are at, as the last MK game I played was 2 I think way back in the 90's. Still, it's fun- the set up is just like I remember it... nice side scrolling fighting game where you can do well with drop kicks and upper cuts, but otherwise it's a lot of button mashing to get to a fatality (for me anyway).

The story is cool and well done, but it's like watching a movie with the occasional fight thrown in... I mean clearly with like 10 games in the franchise they know what works, but in a perfect game I think some RPG/Missions elements would be a great way to tell the same story, then cut to Klassic fights for bosses or something.

I don't know why I keep putting off Witcher III... maybe because I've heard so many good things about it that it almost can't help but disappoint even a little bit.... need to get to it soon though... then again, NHL 18 comes out tomorrow.
