Uh, no one is recommending Castle Crashers? Are we assuming Mike already played it? I personally feel that it's one of the very best xbox live
games ever. Battleblock Theater, also by Behemoth, is another great multiplayer game.

Battleblock Theater was thoroughly enjoyed by Mrs. Girlfriend. Also, it's not multiplayer but she dug the hell out of TellTales Walking Dead.

I did download Battleblock when it was free, haven't gotten around to try it out yet. Castle Crashers left us meh.

October Announced
Games for October:
X-Box One owners get agame called Chariot, which is apparently some sort of Indy game. Moving on...
360 owners get Battlefield Bad Company 2 for the first half of the month, and follow that up by getting Darksiders 2. Not too shabby.

So nothing really noteworthy has hit Games with Gold since last year. Now? Well, if you hurry this month and have an X-Box One you can get
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. It's two years old, yeah, but if you have an X-Box One, you probably didn't play it on that. Of
course, there's also August, which will provide Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (the prequel to the one coming out soon) and an interesting
looking indy game called How to Survive.
360 owners will get two Metro games.

So Many Me-- the other free game that's on Xbox One this month-- was actually a fun little puzzle platformer. Well worth the download.
Is everyone mad here?

I don't even know if this needs Gold (it probably does), but since X-Box One is bringing in as many 360 games as they can, they're
celebrating there newest addition, Witcher 2, by making it free for X-Box One. It's a regional offer, but the region includes US, Canada, and
the UK, so most of us are covered.

For the month of July, XBox One owners get Banner Saga 2. And it's a bit unusual that we're getting it since the game itself has one of
those "slightly more than cult classic" level of followings, has a first chapter that hasn't been offered free yet (but is on sale), and, oh
yeah, it's two weeks old with slightly above average reviews.
