How about the Pretentious Poseur Prison match? Poseurs are put in a ring surrounded by bookcases taken from their modern art decorated apartments,
with the books providing the only legal weapons in the match (provided they've actually been read). The only way to win is to escape the ring
and the endless marathon of poignant indie movies.

I don't think I have enough interesting things to say about this show for a full review and the more I think about it the less I have to say.
They were both good shows but I didn't feel like they were OMG INCREDIBLE AMAZING. Here's the takeaway:
With all due respect to Davey Richards, Alex Shelley is the best thing going today. His match from night 1 was the best night of the weekend and I
find myself struggling to find the words to describe his performance. The level of detail in his work is the subtle difference between someone doing
and someone being. His timing is flawless. The more attention you pay to what he's doing the more rewarding his matches are. What sticks out
in my memory most from his matches are the bumps he took, the subtle way his body bowed after a dropkick, the way he fell on his ass after getting
punched in the mouth. He gets across exactly what he wants to get across with minimalist theatrics that I can't ever remember seeing in pro
graps. He is a wonder and I was in awe of everything he did. He is on a whole different level than everyone else.
Other notes:
- Holy hell does Kevin Steen look unwell. Someone could tell you that Kevin Steen has whooping cough and you wouldn't blink twice. He got
superkicked in the face about ninety times on night 2 and his nose got broke.
- Speaking of Steen his match w/ Generico vs. The Young Bucks on Night 2 was a HUGE tag match with tons of dives and near falls and the crowd went
crazy for it but it was way, way, way too much for the semi-main of the second night of a tournament. The crowd was already somewhat burnt out and
that match was way too much. Strong and Omega had a tough time in the main specifically because of this match. I would have just booked it on the
next show but as I understand it Kevin Steen is going to die of consumption next week and Generico's knee is going to fall off the week after
that.
- The Young Bucks have decided to embrace the fact that some of the crowd doesn't like them but the fact that 100% of the crowd isn't
against them ruins it a bit. There was a spot in one of their singles matches on night 1 where they did the
punches-in-the-corner-where-the-crowd-counts-along spot and the Buck that wasn't in the match jumped up on the apron to count. Had no one in
the crowd counted and that sole individual stood on the apron and crowed 1! 2! 3! etc it would have been a great moment but with 30% of the crowd
counting along it just wasn't anything. Oh well~
- Austin Aries still rules. He wrestled more than 50% of his match on night 1 without taking a bump and I think that's hilarious.
- I am going to mention Alex Shelley again! I cannot get over how good he is! I already thought he was a great wrestler and I was blown away.
He's incredible. Go buy a ticket for the next show he's at.
I just want you guys to understand how much I love sandwiches. - UPDATED 5/7 - Not all sandwiches need be
considered as art.
