Okay....did I miss something?
Why all this hate for Lady Gaga? Because she is popular now?
The movie "Idiocracy" was really a documentary.

I have no hate for her at all. I don't feel one way or another about her. I was just saying the weird outfits are nothing new in the "music
industry". Her songs do nothing for me but that could just be a style thing. I hope the talent is there for her to be accepted for more than her
wardrobe and pop tunes one day.

Watched my DVR'd Grammys yesterday and thought she and Elton John kicked much ass as the openers of the show.

Lady GaGa is awesome.
The thing about music is that good music is understood to be good without much need for qualification. It could be something by Bach or something by
Cash, but you know it's good when you hear it.
And yes, Bad Romance could well be the best video since "Hurt".

For the record, if any of you own/play Rock Band, the Rock Band Marketplace is adding a Lady GaGa track pack next week, with four songs that include
Poker Face and Bad Romance, and then they're also adding Poker Face as performed by Cartman from South Park. Should be fun

I was all ready to be incredulous at the thought of Bad Romance being the best video since Hurt, but then I realized most videos are garbage and
calling the video great isn't necessarily saying all that much. Visually it's interesting. It just seems to be weird for the sake of
being weird though, but that's pretty consistent with how she presents herself. It's unfortunate too, because in that video when you get
a few shots of her without the crazy makeup, hair, clothes, and whatever else she puts on to freak herself up, you see she can actually be an
attractive girl. That's probably just a clear sign I'm too old to get whatever she's trying to do. I feel like my dad whining
about why the drummer has to be so loud.
Cartman as Gaga? THAT could be entertaining. I'd love to see a SP version of Bad Romance. Or Hurt for that matter.

Great video, but doesn't hold a candle to OK Go's latest:
I'm not a big fan of the band, but this video is fucking brilliant.

She's going on tour and Charlotte is going to be one of her stops. I am thinking that every gay man and drag queen in a 30 mile radius will be
at that show.

I've tried that, but it gets so confusing. I never know if I'm whacking it to a tranny or a dude or if it's actually a chick. Very
confusing.
Apparently Amanda Bynes and Charlie Sheen are related, because she's full of the same kind of
crazy.

It's funny but back in the day it was dudes that dressed in weird outfits and looked like drag queens or spacemen. Bowie, Elton John, almost any
Funk band. Boy George did some of that too.
Gaga is just another in a line of performers using wardrobe to stand out. Some would say she is ripping off her style choices:
I think in the not too distant future she'll go away for a little while and do a whole stripped down return. That's just the way of
things.
You are right.I agree with every point of yours.

I put one of her new songs "Judas" (as well as a few other choice Gaga cuts) on my iPod last weekend and I have not been able to get that fucking
song out of my head.
She writes some catchy shit.

I was at the dentist earlier, and heard what I swore was Express Yourself by Madonna... only to find out it was Born This Way.

In this day and age skipping out on popular music means that you're not missing out on anything of any importance at all. Seriously, right now
almost all of it completely sucks in a way that it's never ever sucked before. [/grumpyoldman]
