At which point I'm okay with Kong slugging him.

I never said I'm not OK with Kong slugging him. I liked that Kong slugged him because he's a grody, spineless little shit that deserved to be hit for being aggressively disrespectful to thousands and thousands of people in the hours following a terrible disaster. I'm just saying that on a rational level, Kong slugging him is wrong. I also like midnight trips to Taco Bell, watching the TV show Wizards of Waverly Place, and "forgetting" to tip drunk strippers after a lapdance, and I'll admit that all those things are wrong too.

Look, if Bubba did do something that made Kong feel threatened and she acted in self-defense, then maybe I'll change my tune. But assuming that it was unprovoked- and I'll assume it was unprovoked because I don't think Bubba was so stupid as to furthur anger her after she was already clearly enraged with him and in front of a locker room full of her friends, to boot- then it still isn't OK. Deserved, sure, but not socially acceptable. It all goes back to what I said in an earlier post- there are a lot of people in the world that say or do things that would please me greatly to see them get knocked down a peg or fifty-thousand, but I don't take it into my own hands, I'll leave it for God or karma or who/whatever it is that takes care of stuff like that.

Unless I run into the Jersey Shore cast. There really is no justification for not attacking them with extreme prejudice.

Before someone goes and drags up the Jericho thread or the Styles/JBL thread and calls me a hypocrite and TNA mark for not condemning Kong I want to make perfectly clear I basically agree with CiG. I've called her a thug at least twice in this thread but still... I'm covering my ass. If Kong laid a beating on Bubba, even provoked, it was a bad thing to do as a law abiding and mature adult in our world.

But its hard for me not to understand her position considering the racist and insulting piece of shit she hit. Doesn't justify it, though.

Oh what a merry jape it was. Of course I'm serious. Bubba Lovesponge may well deserve many, many beatdowns (and from all I've seen of him, he does), but if you physically attack someone because of some Twitter comment they made about a country of all things, you're a bigger idiot than they are.

In theory, I agree with you.

But man, I have to admit-- I sure do love it when assholes who say asshole things just for the sake of being assholes get taken down a peg like this. And I sure as fuck don't have a single iota of sympathy for a guy who immediately goes on the air to call her a "bitch" and "a fat piece of shit." Plus, the fact that it was a chick* who kicked his ass just makes it that much sweeter.

*Yes, I'm fully aware that this chick could kick all of our collective asses. I'm just saying.

I'm kinda torn on this issue. See, I kinda want to make a conversation topic out of this by telling some of my friends about this story (since none of my friends actually watch wrestling, it'd be more along the lines of "Did you hear about the female wrestler who beat up the radio DJ in Florida because he said 'fuck Haiti' and she's been raising money for Haiti?"), but in all honesty I just can't see any way that this doesn't lead to one of them starting a Facebook group to boycott the radio station (not so bad) or TNA (alright, kinda bad) until they fire Bubba.

Then again, there's a morbid part of me that wouldn't mind seeing if that "I'm With Kong" picture on page 1 that I've already cropped down to a more manageable Facebook size can become the Facebook profile picture of at least a tenth of the number of people that replaced their pictures with the "I'm with CoCo" picture supporting Conan.

Screw it, I talked myself into it. If this becomes even slightly mainstream, I take the credit for it.

Well, we don't have to worry about Kong being fired. She quit.

That really sucks, a lot, but on the other hand I'm not really sure what else was left in TNA for her to do and most of the other women looked ridiculously overmatched in the ring with her with the exceptions of ODB and Hamada, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise for her. Who knows, maybe WWE would consider thinking outside their box and bring her in but I don't think they have that megastar face among the divas to feud her with.

At any rate, I'm betting the tag titles are back on Sarita and Taylor sooner rather than later.

I assume either she was going to be punished or Hogan was intent on keeping Bubba the Love sponge around. She made it a dicey situation in that if he was fired or not used he could have sued TNA.

I assume she goes back to Japan? I know the wwe expressed interest in her but she said she was loyal to TNA for giving her the opportunity and that wwe was more interested just to steal her away rather than have any interest in her.

If she ever did end up in wwe, I'd hope they'd keep her on an opposite brand from Beth Phoenix for a good year and do a slow as hell build to it.

I know this is only one thing, but I'm not liking this Hogan-run TNA's decisions so far (and not in the idiot Impact Zone loyalists way). I guess we probably should have seen this coming that Hogan's uninteresting friends would be on TV more than people some of us liked, but basically getting rid of Kong to keep Bubba is one of the single dumbest moves I've seen and definitely the dumbest wrestling-related move of the decade (so far).

My first thought is: Sucks! It's a shame that she felt the need to quit rather than just take a fine or something. I would assume that she felt she couldn't continue to be happy with Bubba around, and that really blows.

Then my second thought was: Well, she was too dominant. The women's division might be helped by losing her.

Either way, I hope she finds happiness and if there's bad management that contributed to this, I hope that gets exposed and taken care of.

Only knowing a tiny, tiny bit I think I'm siding with Kong over Hogan.

It would be a solid blow if Kong left. I think Bubba has to go if Kong goes, but I'm sure that he won't. I never have heard his show, but he sounds like an ass bag. Kong will have to go kill bitches dead some place else I suppose

Well, even if Hogan doesn't fire Bubba its a pretty safe bet that Bubba is done with TNA. The locker room will run him out of town on a rail, and Hogan isn't going to be able to police that.

I say Hogan is smart enough to break him off, though. Hogan may be the kind of shithead that makes sure all of his sycophants get a check, but he's got enough business savvy to know that if Bubba's presence is infuriating his locker room, Bubba has to go. What else is he going to do? Fire the old guard and do 2 hour Nasty Boys vs. Hall and Waltman matches every week?

If WWE doesn't pounce on Kong and Cheerleader Saeed, they are retarded.

It's called a "compromise," Vince: just hire the one ugly fat chick, and you get one super-hot chick, and we fans will pretend that your opinion on such issues counts even though you're a noted Male Physique Enthusiast And Magazine Subscriber who just fakes liking girls based on what he sees in Playboy.

Also: we fans get two incredibly talented women to bolster a roster that hasn't yet recovered from the '05-'06 departures of Trish/Molly/Lita/etc....

Kong/Phoenix as a major feud down the line (as already mentioned)... Kong making even ME feel sympathetic as she turns poor li'l Kelly Kelly into a cute little puddle of duh in the shorter term... Melissa potentially pulling double-duty -- one persona on each roster, maybe? -- depending on what they want to do with the Saeed character (keep her with Kong long-term while Melissa does a secondary "diva" character; or do a short-term Saeed gimmick where she turns face, gets un-birka'd, and becomes sexay)... both women becoming available at exactly the same time... can somebody tell me how this ISN'T a no-brainer for the E?

Oh wait: ass-licking sycophant Johnny Ace is still in charge of such decisions, isn't he? D'oh....

I'd 100% forgive the Impact Zone for their shitty nerdworld wankerness if they out up signs saying things like "If Hogan Shows Up We Riot".

WWE would be idiots not to .....etc, etc, etc.. But of course WWE're idiots. TNA vs WWE is now just a contest of Shit-for-brains Sycophants #1 vs Shit-for-brains Sycophants #2 for the Super Bowl of Infinite Suck.

Fuck the lot of them. I hope both companies die (and sorry Lucky, the Alissa thing, if it's real, has got me really fucking pissed off).
