Alberto Del Rio is retaining - that much is certain. The question would be how. Either way I don't think this main events - Punk vs HHH will main event I think. IIIRC there is another PPV between this one and SS so I expect ADR to win with outside interference, which will set-up a HIAC rematch.

I wish they'd just combine the HIAC PPV with Survivor Series to create a Wargames type main event for Survivor Series.

If the World Title wasn't pingponged around so much I might even be for a Henry win, to give him a 1-2 month reign to top his career. But I think it's best to keep the title on Orton here.

I can't see any way Punk can possibly be booked to lose this match. I think Nash pops up here and costs HHH the match and his COO title.

I still don't care about the Diva's title. Kelly Kelly is a TERRIBLE champion, no believability there at all.

Air Boom keeps the titles. If Miz was going back into the tag scene they could have re-teamed him with Morrison to give the division the kick in the pants it needed.

US Championship match - I think the story will be who is Vickie pulling for - Dolph or Swagger. I'd have her screw over both and help Morrison win. Vickie with a newly heeled Morrison could have a HBK/Sherri vibe if done right. Dolph goes face, Swagger goes stays heel, but more of a badass that could get face heat against a good heel.

Rhodes should retain, but Dibiase has nothing if he loses. Cody cheating to win would probably make the most sense. Ted is protected, Cody keeps the title and a rematch could be set-up.

I remember Eddie Guerrero.

CM Punk vs. Triple H: Obviously no matter who wins, something screwy is going to happen. I'm gonna go with Punk here, but it wouldn't shock me to see Triple H win (just cause it's Triple H).

Aleberto Del Rio vs. John Cena: Del Rio keeps the belt, either through Ricardo Rodriguez interference or he gets DQed.

Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry: As I said in the Smackdown thread, 99% of the time I wouldn't bet against Orton on PPV, but I just kind of get the vibe Henry is going to get the belt. So I'm picking Henry, which I'm sure I'll regret when Orton beats him clean and retains.

Air Boom vs. Miz/Truth: This one's tough to call, because it seems a little early for Kofi/Bourne to drop the belts, but Miz/Truth have been working really well together and them having the belts would make sense. I'm gonna go with the good guys though and say Air Boom retains.

Ziggler vs. Swagger vs. Morrison vs. Riley: You can really just flip a coin here, but I'm gonna say Ziggler retains.

Cody Rhodes vs. Ted Dibiase: There's no reason to take the IC title off of Cody at this point, so I pick him to win.

Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix: Beth wins.

Nash is only a few inches bigger than JBL and depending on how stiff he gets Punk should be able to take it. -JB King, meant in a totally non-sexual way

My two cents on this show...

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Ted DiBiase - Seems like it could be a halfway decent match and could bloom into some kind of rivalry. But I don't see any reason why Rhodes so lose the title here. RHODES wins dirty.

Ziggler (c) vs. Swagger vs. Riley vs. Morrison - Seems like they wanted to have a filler in this match. Riley has matched with Swagger and Ziggler already and...why not with Morrison I guess. Don't think the title leaves the rivalry, but I do think Swagger wins, with Vickie's help. SWAGGER wins, pinning RILEY

Air Boom (c) vs. Awesome Truth - Could have potential to be a decent tag match, and a decent rivalry seems to be starting. Hoping this continues past this show, but I dont see the champs losing. AIR BOOM retains clean.

Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix - I'm tired of Kelly as champion, and it seems like Beth should be the obvious choice. And, since the show is in Buffalo and it's Beth's home town...BETH PHOENIX wins clean, New Divas Champion

Randy Orton (c) vs. Mark Henry - Has been picking up a bit of steam, but I'm not looking forward to any "Match of the Night" material we got out of Orton-Christian. But it would make sense to see Randy lose here. MARK HENRY wins dirty, New World Heavyweight Champion

Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. John Cena - I still am perplexed at how this whole rivalry got started and why it should include John Cena in the first place...I guess they needed something so Punk feuded with HHH. Anyway, I think we see the standard Cena match, but wont win the title. ADR wins with interference from Ricardo. ALBERTO DEL RIO wins dirty, retains title.

CM Punk vs. Triple H - To me, the only intriguing match of the night where I dont have an accurate prediction. I could think of a few scenarios this plays out, but my gut is that Triple H will win dirty, with interference from Stephanie McMahon, I think they will inject her into this storyline someway. TRIPLE H wins dirty, with the ending to shock people in watching RAW tomorrow.

My picks....

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Ted DiBiase - Has to be Rhodes. I think we may see some sort of moment for him here; something meant to be pivotal for his character. Maybe a new (female) manager/companion gifting him the win, maybe a win involving the loss of his mask or something. I just get the feeling they're looking to switch through the gears with Cody now.

Ziggler (c) vs. Swagger vs. Riley vs. Morrison - Someone suggested somewhere that Vicky take on Morrison and screw swagger and ziggler. I'd like to see it but I think JoMo might not be flavour of the month in wwe still so I'm going with Vicky dropping Ziggler for Swagger. Swagger wins and takes the belt.

Air Boom (c) vs. Awesome Truth - Air Boom win to keep the conspiracy fires burning.

Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix - Beth goes over strong.

Randy Orton (c) vs. Mark Henry - I'm with everyone else here - Henry gets the win for a career defining short spell as champ.

Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. John Cena - ADR wins in some dismal fashion.

CM Punk vs. Triple H - I'm betting on Nash, Steph and/or Johnny Ace getting involved but I think they may now shaft HHH in an attempt to get rid of him. Punk wins but in doing so realises HHH was never the real enemy.....

I'll make this short cause I'm in class right now. The only thing I'm predicting is that CM Punk will win. Nash will swerve HHH and Punk and Nash have been in cahoots since the beginning. Then Johnny Ace becomes the COO.

Nuff said. Oh, if you haven't seen it yet, go see Warrior. I watched it last night and I will bet money it wins Best Pictures, Nolte wins Best Supporting, and Tom Hardy may win Best Actor.

Results...

Tag-Team Title- Air-Boom retains after a disqualification when Miz pushes the ref. This will lead to more conspiricy thinking from The Awesome Truth.

Intercontinental Title- Cody Rhodes retains with a handful of tights on the pin.

Christian comes out to rally the crowd for one more match. Sheamus then comes out and calls Christian a "little weasel" but agrees with him. Sheamus talks of giving Uncle Fargas's Lucky Green Testicle to fight tonite. Says he will help Christian get one more match, if he promises to give Sheamus a shot if Christian wins. He agresss, then Sheamus Brogue Kicks Christian.

U.S. Title- Ziggler retains when he pushes Swagger off of Morrison for the pin. Earlier Swagger collided with Ziggler and knocked him out of the ring.

Interview with Mark Henry, about not being able to win the big one. Henry says he's going to take out 15 years of frustration on Orton.

Vicki celebrates backstage, brags that the US Champ works for her, Swagger wants to to work with her, things are happening and she would make a great COO.

World Heavyweight Title- Mark Henry pins Orton clean to become World Heavyweight Champion.

Henry says nobody believed he would win. It's his moment, and he won't share it with the fans. He will take on all-comers, and never lose the title.

ADR & Johnny Ace walk. Ace says Raw match was HHH idea, not his. ADR says he wants respect after he beats Cena. Ace tells ADR Good Luck, then says the same to CM Punk. Ace says he means it. Punk questions him, and says, "Like Good Luck In Your Future Endeavours?"

Diva's Title- Kelly Kelly retains with a clean pin of Beth Phoenix. Michael Cole is saying Beth choked.

WWE Title- Cena comes out in ADR's car. Cena talks about how ADR thinks he's better than everyone. Cena then does his own intro. Match has now begun. Alot of "Cena Sucks" chants. Ref removes ADR's sidekick from ringside after tripping Cena.

Cena wins making ADR tap-out to STF

HHH vs. Punk next...

Punk just went from the top rope to the announce table ontop of HHH!

Truth & Miz attack both! Then attack ref. Johnny Ace is coming out. Punk & HHH take out Miz/Truth. Johnny Ace distracts new ref from counting HHH pin of Punk.

Punk kicks out of 2nd Pedigree. Nash comes out of crowd. Takes out both. Beats on HHH. Punk gets Jackknifed. Nash goes back to HHH. HHH uses Sledge hammer on Nash.

3rd Pedigree on Punk.

HHH pins Punk.

Umm... that interview of Miz and Truth after the match makes me wonder whether they will get involved to help CM Punk to dethrone HHH of the COO title. Or maybe it was just a ruse to make us think that way. Either way, good start to the PPV... (I am gonna watch Thor: Tales of Asgard now, and return to watch the Punk - HHH match). Psyched!

Ziggler retains after stealing a pin off Swagger's gutwrench powerbomb on Morrison. Only caught the last half of the match. Not all that exciting, honestly. Crowd is sorta hot, though.

^I think it would have been much better on a white t-shirt. I wouldn't buy it either way though. That is more something I would have put on the back of a t-shirt, smaller and in the center of upper back.

Cena winning the title makes even less sense for ADR to be interjected into the uberhot Cena vs Punk feud now.

But with Henry winning the title, I guess the wwe didn't want all their male singles titles to be on heels (Ziggler and Rhodes being the others)

Cena wins...no clue why...but I almost feel like a set up for a newly heel COO CM Punk to get another title match next month.

That or the Cena heel turn finally happens and he aligns with HHH or something. [eh, can't...him + rock at SS takes that chance away]

Not sure otherwise what the hell the rush was to end ADR's run...unless they were actually aware of how much they messed up his run as champion.

Raw ratings are in the shitter - they probably think Cena as champ will fix that. It can't even be because they want Cena holding the title up when he and Rock have their fade to black facedown after Survivor Series because there is a PPV yet before SS, and there is the Raw from Mexico between now and the SS PPV.

It has to be the ratings.

I'm really scratching my head now. This is the reason they short-circuited the Cena/Punk feud that was red hot and getting people back into wrestling? So some lame-ass could hold the championship for less than a month then drop it to Cena? So Kevin Nash could come back and leave in less time without even wrestling in a match? Wow, just brilliant booking, WWE.

I have no idea what happened tonight...just confused by everything. Not sure what anyone was trying to accomplish. Did Truth want Punk to pin HHH, but then pull him from a count later on? Laurinitis is now calling Nash after all of everything? I really have no idea what's going on, but they've done no favors at all to Punk, storylines, or anything with all this...cluttered mess.

It wasn't getting people back into wrestling. It was getting people on the Internet talking more. The ratings and buyrates weren't skyrocketing. Plus how many times could they do Cena vs Punk without overexposing it? They already had the match three times in the last two months, and they weren't really even feuding with each other as much as Punk was feuding with WWE brass.

Excellent show. The tag title opener was great up until the cheap ending, but that played into the main event well enough.

Rhodes vs DiBiase can fuck off. We have no reason to like DiBiase and then the one thing he does that gets a reaction causes him to lose like a chump two seconds later.

Love the Cena and Kelly wins, purely because of the reaction I know those results are going to get. I hate Kelly's inability to bounce off the ropes though.

The four-way US title match was really fun, everyone involved looked decent.

Henry has been incredible for the last few months, awesome to see him rewarded with a major title. Well-deserved. Daniel Bryan's gonna have some trouble beating him at WrestleMania!

And the main event was pretty awesome. It was a lot like an attitude era main event, with the brawling around the arena and then all the run-ins. Continued the recent trend of kicking out of a million finishers like it's WrestleMania. Triple H and Punk looked great, and nice work from Johnny Ace being sneaky with the refs. I'm curious as to what this storyline's match will be in two weeks. I don't wanna see another Nash vs HHH match but I wouldn't be too surprised if that's it. I think we'll get a Punk vs Hunter cell match though.

I'm still amazed they Jobbed out Beth again, and made ADR look so weak via tap-out.

And I won't even begin to try to sort out that Punk/HHH mess. I only typed it as it happened, as fast as could, trying not to miss anything too important.

But I'll try something here...

Miz/Truth- Beat on both HHH & Punk. Laid out HHH, put Punk on top for the pin. Later Truth is attacking Punk. No idea whose side they were on, if any.

Johnny Ace- Came out and checked on fallen ref, while HHH was pinning Punk. Then had the new ref tend to fallen ref, further distracting HHH from getting the pin. Johnny Ace must be against HHH.

Kevin Nash- Comes out of crowd and attacks both HHH & Punk. Seems to lay more into HHH, but then jackknifes Punk, which sets him up for the pin later, after HHH takes Nash out with the sledgehammer. No idea whose side Nash is on either.

So I agree...clusterfuck of a match, with no clear-cut way to go that makes any sense.
