Found the thread I was looking for. Sting just announced that he has accepted the invitation to be inducted.

Sting is solid choice for headliner, despite his lack of a WWE career.
I think the WWE shot their load last year inducting Savage and Nash in the same year. If anyone could headline the HOF posthumously it was Savage,
especially with Hogan as the inductor (I would have preferred Flair). Save Nash for another year.
Should WWE run out of decent headliners for the HOF. While they wait for guys to retire, they could scrap the bottom of the barrel and induct
Goldberg.
I think DDP is long overdue as well.
Love the idea of Christian going in.
As for the Demos, with Warrior (and guys like Savage and Hart, etc.) there was money to be made with DVD sales and T-Shirts. So finically it made
sense to make peace. I'm not sure how far the Demolition nostalgia dollar will stretch (especially with physical media slowly dying in the ass).
DVD sales must have taken a hit for WWE over the last few years. However I do believe the Demos belong in the HOF First ever 3 times world tag champs.
They also turned a cut n' paste gimmick into something special.

Sting going in makes me think they should just go WCW-centric this year. Or at least Sting-centric. Vader seems to think he's in this year so
there's already that. Great Muta is one of the last international names casual fans would remember. Lex Luger has done just enough between WWF
and WCW to be a low inductee (and at least did more than the f'n Bushwhackers and Koko). Rick Rude has needed to go in forever and had feuds
with Sting. DDP had stuff with Sting. And if Scott Steiner weren't insane, the Steiners were always Sting allies.
There's a few good ways to go this year, though I would say the most pressing is hurry up and get Rude in, especially since they've been
making money off him the last two 2K games.

Has Muta retired from wrestling yet?
Also, here is my revised list:
Sting - inducted by Luger?
JBL - inducted by Ron Simmons
Fabulous Freebirds - inducted by Steve Austin
Vader
Stan Hansen
Rick Rude (posthumous) - inducted by Paul Heyman or Bobby Heenan!
Lou Thesz (posthumous)
Lemmy Kilmister/Motorhead (celebrity) - inducted by HHH
If there's room, I'd definitely be cool with Luger and DDP being inducted this year.

Cyndi Lauper should go in, but will probably have to wait. I'm thinking Lemmy/Motorhead are the celeb induction this year.
Is everyone mad here?
Of course they are, and you are too... otherwise, you wouldn't have come here.

He main evented Bound for Glory in 2014 (That event was in Japan). I guess there is the chance he could show up in TNA. That didn't stop Flair
or Hogan from doing the same.
I think Jimmy Hart and Bobby Heenan might have made the odd apperance in TNA post their HOF inductions as well.

Not bad. It kills me that Heenan is probably in no shape to do any public speaking, but Heyman would be an excellent choice for Rude. For Vader
I'd probably go with Mick Foley since Sting will be busy that night. JBL inducting Hansen seems apropos to me, if he doesn't end up being
inducted himself.

See I was thinking Harley, but I'm not quite sure what type of shape he's in these days. He's got to be in his 70's by now,
right? If he's still all there mentally I'd love to see him induct Vader, but I just went with Foley since he's a recognizable name
that WWE can advertise to the casuals, and (sadly) Foley's missing ear got a better push in WWF than Big Van.

Lemmy's a great idea for the celebrity. But also Terry Gordy+Lemmy is probably WWE's quota for posthumous inductions.
So, going for 7 inductees, including 1 celebrity and 1 woman:
1. Sting, inducted by Flair
2. Fabulous Freebirds, inducted by Kevin Von Erich
3. Stan Hansen, inducted by Vader (save Vader as an inductee for another year and Sting can induct him then)
4. JBL, inducted by Ron Simmons
5. Celebrity: Lemmy/Motorhead, inducted by HHH
6. Woman: Jacqueline, inducted by Tom Prichard or Booker T or Stephanie
7. DDP, inducted by Scott Hall or Jake Roberts
Maybe switch DDP with Luger

Interesting that they are including Jimmy Garvin. IIRC he was a late add, well after the Freebirds had peaked.

I'm not surprised. Gordy and Roberts are both dead. So Hayes would look pretty lonely up there by himself. Also IIRC Garvin features pretty
heavily on the E produced WCCW DVD, so he must be good terms with the E.
Good terms seem to be a big factor with HoF entry. Love him or hate him I still think Ole deserved to be included with the Horsemen. I don't
think there are hard strict rules when it comes to inducting stables.

Garvin did an episode of "Legends of Wrestling". It was either the
Southern Wrestling one, or the Texas Wrestling one. Also, the only reason Ole wasn't inducted is because of Ole. Ole hates Vince. A LOT.

Garvin was a multi time WCW tag champ with Hayes as The Fabulous Freebirds. Yes, this was after their big WCCW run of Hayes, Gordy, and Roberts, but
being they weren't exactly fallen stars at that point. Plus, I can't imagine Hayes would balk at Garvin being in it.
Lastly, the final iteration of the Freebirds were Hayes, Garvin, and Gordy.
Inducting Garvin wouldn't quite be like inducting Oliver Humperdinck or DDP as a Freebird.

Has this been confirmed? I only mention Austin as a viable candidate to induct The Freebirds because of what a vocal proponent he's been for
their induction for years now. He even made a few headlines last year stating that he would boycott Wrestlemania in Dallas if they weren't
selecte for entry. While Von Erich makes all the sense in the world, I could just as easily see Austin doing the honors seeing as how he's
arguably the biggest WWE star of all time, has nothing announced so far for Wrestlemania in his homestate, and taking into account the influence of
The Freebirds that led him to becoming a wrestler. WWE is hurting for star power on Wrestlemania weekend, so while Austin might not be quite as
logical as KVE, he's the one who will get more eyeballs on the program. Just my two cents.

Kevin has alluded to it.
The HOF doesn't need star power and the inductees are the star power. Plus, when it comes to HOF inductors, they have stuck to the logical ones
almost to a T. Austin doing it would just overshadow the Freebrids. Austin will have a role at the actual Wrestlemania. KVE will induct the Freebirds.
Austiin will do something at Wrestlemania where they really want the eyeballs.
