Nope.
When you write a season's story arcs ahead of time, to the point of storyboarding the vingettes and some major spots months before they're
shot, you can do things like that all you want. As opposed to the WWE style of writing things a week or two in advance and then re-writing them on the
day of the show.
It's the difference between a feature film (LU) and Saturday Night Live (WWE).
Of course, for it to work they have to trust their wrestlers to get themselves over based on charisma and athletic ability. Especially considering
that the live audience in the Temple doesn't see the pre-taped vingettes.

Just got back from a business trip and immediately (finally)watched Wednesday's show.
Mind blown! How all of a sudden is Cortez Castro, ahem..I mean Agent Reyes now all of a sudden one of the more interesting characters on the show?
Unbelievable!
Also the ancient astronaut theorist in me believes Aerostar is an Ancient Alien! Fucking Awesome!

Fnix vs. King Cuerno, Round II was great. You have to think that Round III will be another stipulation match with the Gift of the Gods title on the
line. It was stupid of me to worry that Fnix was getting buried by losing the title in the season 2 debut. Instead, we're getting a quality
series of matches out of two awesome luchadors and I picture Fnix getting his hands on the strap once more. It would be good, however, if he gets
screwed out of it and moves into some other feuds for a while before coming back after King Cuerno. If we are to assume that Mil Muertes vs. Fnix
will be the Ultima Lucha II main event, Fnix will eventually have to get the title back.
I also wouldn't mind seeing King Cuerno turn the title over for a shot at the champion a few months down the road. Maybe he gets tired of
Catrina's bullshit and decides to hunt death. That could be cool.
Count me in as stoked for Chavo vs. Texano. I picture their feud being a season long saga. I'm looking forward to Texano's return and I
can't wait to see Chavo come back. I was disappointed by his quad tear at the end of last season, but the silver lining in that is that they can
drag out the family feud and turn this thing into something epic.
I also like the reveal of Castro Cortez as an undercover agent. I don't think he was being honest when he said that Dario Cueto hadn't
been seen in months. I think he might know something more than he's saying. I loved seeing Joey Ryan. That's going to be so good! I agree
that he had a "Sabotage" video vibe about him. I saw it right away. Joey Ryan, Secret Dick, anyone?

Joey's entrance was creeptastic.
That's more or less what he's been doing outside of LU, right?
I can't wait to hear what the crowd is going to do with Castro and Joey after they have a chance to see the back stage stuff. Even if that takes
until next season.

Haha, a slightly toned down version of it but yeah. Let's just hope that blowpop doesn't go wandering.
I didn't really care for his match. Thought it made Cage look a little weak, Joey didn't really sell much. Not nearly as much as Cage
did. It's like they could've explained it away that Cage had mono going in so he wasn't 100%. I caught a major Anchorman/Will
Farrell-vibe when he was yelling about dropkicking Cage in the face. Criticism aside, it was entertaining along with the scene with Castro. I really
can't see the Castro/Ryan team being much more than comic relief at this point.
Mack getting a purpose now, looking like he's getting caught up with the Sexy Star/Marty/Marty's sister clusterfuck. Really looking
forward to what he gets into this season now that Big Ryck is gone. His match against Cage at Ultima Lucha was my favorite between the two nights.

Becoming a big fan of Jack Evans, he's a big mouth heel who is amazing in the ring.
Another loss for PJ Black. Is that the first time Drago has used mist on LU?
Solid matches all around. I like the addition of Taya, I think her and Johnny Mundo will work well together and have great chemistry as a heel couple.
Can't wait for the Cuerno vs Fenix ladder match next week for the GOTD Championship.

Jack Evans is awesome! He's the perfect anti-luchador heel and that hair looks like a nod to the old Jericho heel character when he first came
over to WWE.
But man, what do they have in store for PJ Black? And where was the apology from Drago? I mean he just misted the guy, causing painful temporary
blindness and a guaranteed loss! Drago used the mist a couple times towards the end of last season, I think in Ultima Lucha against Hernandez and
maybe once before.
Dario Cueto is a madman. That look on his face when he said his mother's death was a happy moment was great. Correcto!
Definitely agree that next week is shaping up to be a very nice show.

You're right. It's going to be excellent. Between King Cuerno and Fnix's ladder match for the Gift of the Gods title and the
Pentagon Jr. vs. Prince Puma rematch, I think it's going to be a fantastic show.
Does anyone else get the feeling that a lot of feuds are going to be settled in unofficial best of three series formats? Season 2 is still young, but
King Cuero and Fnix are due to have a third match with a big stipulation, which will probably end that story arc. Pentagon Jr. and Prince Puma are
scheduled to have a rematch. Drago was going after Jack Evans, which suggests that another match between them will eventually come and the one that
Johnny Mundo cheated to beat Cage tells me that they aren't through with one another yet. I can see a few more matches coming out of these newer
rivalries and I think Pentagon Jr. vs. Prince Puma will have to get a big stipulation if there is a third bout because I thought that the first match
did little more than wet my appetite for more. It felt criminally short. They need to give those guys at least 20 minutes and just let them go!
Speaking of Pentagon Jr., I'm glad that he will be focused on going after Mil Muertes and Catrina. It's also cool to see that Vampiro is
still his dark lord mentor. I think it was First 9 who first brought up Star Wars with Rey Mysterio Jr. I can now imagine Star Wars playing in Lucha
Underground with Vampiro as the Emperor, Pentagon Jr. as Darth Vader, Mysterio as Yoda and Dragon Azteca as Luke Skywalker. I hope Dragon Azteca is
good because if we're going to make Star Wars happen, he's got to be good to hang with these guys and make the story come to life inside
of a wrestling ring.
Am I the only one who loved Famous B.'s user car sales ad?

can see that Vampiro was so blown away by it that he got up out of his chair at commentary and talks a long walk past the fans seated in the front
row. That's how impressive it is. It got a commentary to get out of chair with so much excitement that he had to walk it off. That's cool.

Fnix vs. King Cuerno was a well-worked program. Their ladder match had a much slower pace than what I'm used to seeing in those types of
matches. I appreciated it for showing that the ladder match doesn't have to be 15 minutes of non-stop ladder spots. I'm happy to see that
Fnix is back in position to become a thorn in Mil Muertes' side.
We're two weeks away from Aztec Warfare! I love that match. I can't wait to find out what the prize will be for winning it. There has to
be one. Why go through the trouble of having a match that large if the winner is not somehow rewarded?

They announced the prize for Aztec Warfare as a #1 Contendership for the LU Title.
Meanwhile - my god. This week's episode was INSANE!!!
The main event triple threat is a bonafide MotY candidate.
I loved the debut of Marty the Moth's sister. That shit was genuinely creepy as hell.
The nunchuck duel scene was spot on. I marked the fuck out when Aerostar appeared. PJ Black turning heel was a nice touch as well.
Finally, the Taya vs Cage no DQ match - well, that was something. I mean that in a good way. Taya is tough as hell. I felt somewhat uncomfortable
seeing her get tossed around like that but I also admire her willingness to do those spots. Looking forward to seeing more from her. Plus, Johnny
Mundo is a massive douche - I love hating his character!

The main event was the best 3 way I've seen in terms of telling the story of constantly shifting alliances in a long long time. Probably since
the 3-way dance days in ECW.
I didn't dig the Marty's sister spot. Sexy's acting isn't quite up to it. She went from being the badass of all time to a
basket case with no explanation other than Marty tying her up in a closet. It just didn't work for me.
I do like that Mack is getting in on the backstage vingette action. It's great that he's been embraced by the audience, when he was
basically set up to languish as a jobber in season 1.
The nunchuck bathroom scene was great. Two men, a dragon and a human TARDIS with 5 pairs of nunchucks between them. I just wish the lighty-uppy ones
had shown up better on camera.
Taya vs Cage was cool. Nothing that would bother the core audience, particularly since it was set up as her idea. But I did have to wonder what a new
viewer would have thought about it.
The prop bottles were pretty terrible, though. At least one of them broke before anyone touched it. Just from falling over. You could see Johnny being
super careful with them.

There is an explanation. If you recall when they introduce Sexy Star in season 1, she talks about how she was a victim of abuse. She managed to
liberate herself by donning her Lucha mask and becominv the badass we now know as Sexy Star.
By kidnapping her and tying her up - The Moth has shown her that she's still vulnerable to abuse despite her mask. This is a self doubt story
that will more than likely wrap itself up with Sexy Star finding her inner badass again and striking Marty and his sister down.
**EDIT** I do agree that het performance when Marty's sister came out wasn't stellar but I'm ok with that due to the Grindhouse
aspect of the show. Great acting isn't a requirement with this kind of storytelling. I do dig the overall way they are telling the story. Stoked
to see where it goes.

They are making Aerostar into an absolute badass and I love it! The nunchuck scene stole this week's show, that was pure fun. I was busting
out laughing when Jack broke his chucks out and everyone was swinging them around. Then... Aerostar appears! Great stuff. Jack Evans and PJ Black
together should be a good turn for PJ after his tough start too.
I can see the Sexy Star story being about her self-confidence now that you mention it. Otherwise, I was just thinking they were trying to give Marty
and Mariposa an extra dose of sick and creepy if they never really explain the backstory behind the whole kidnapping bit. For better or worse, hope
they do elaborate on this a bit more.

This is an aspect of Vampiro on commentary that I love. He gets SO into it, he's a real fan. It was there again a couple weeks back in the
Cuerno/Fenix ladder match, where he was like "Dude, I can't take this" and losing himself in it. I also liked the exchange where he was like
"This is too much violence even for me!" Striker: "Really? Vamp: "Okay, no, I told a lie there.

The highlight of this week's show was definitely the 3-way dance for the Lucha Underground Championship. That match was the most exciting
wrestling match I've seen in quite some time. It's right up there with Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose at the Royal Rumble as my favourite
matches of 2016 (I know the year is young, but all the same).
My non-match highlight was Famous B's commercial. Man, I'm loving those commercials. Although, I was happy to see Aerostar return.
I think that nunchuck fight may be leading to the birth of a couple of trios alliances. Both teams are one person short, but it wouldn't hurt
for them to go in that direction. Until that episode, the Trios titles seemed to have become an afterthought. Now, it looks like two new trios are
starting to take shape and a Trios Titles match is happening next week.
That's going to be a big show with two title matches taking place. I wonder if Death's control over the temple is already coming to an
end. I kind of hope not. I'd like to see the Trios titles taken off of the Disciples of Death if they aren't going be around to defend
them ever, but there's still plenty of ground to be covered with Mil Muertes as the Lucha Underground Champion.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but that wasn't a 3 way dance. There was only one fall. In a Heyman style 3 way dance two of the three
wrestlers get pinned and eliminated.
