That foot on the rope false finish got me pretty good. That was the best version of overbooked craziness possible.

I think I would have been happier with the AJ count out win.
This might lead to a 2/3 falls rematch. Perhaps with it being at extreme rules, it could be a 3 stages of hell match (haven't seen one of those
in ages).

Sure, the no count-out, no DQ change was telegraphed, leading to the Gallows/Anderson-Uso's side track then, but damn that was a good match!

In story, Roman lost twice first.
Great match though. Solid show really, up and down. The Macmahon stuff went on an hour, but solid matches from everyone.

Word on Enzo is that he's been released from the hospital already. Aside from the concussion all the other tests came back negative.

First off: THANK GOD Enzo escaped that with only a concussion. Here's hoping he's not kept on the shelf for too long. Was watching the
replay of the show proper, and that was some scary stuff. It does look like he got knocked for a loop when he charged English in the corner and ate a
pair of boots. He didn't seem to have his wits about him second later when Gotch was tagged in. That look on his face and the convulsed
breathing. Gah. Once again, just very happy to hear that he made it out of that relatively unscathed. Caught him and Cass on Austin's podcast
twice recently and they both seem like good dudes.
That said, if The Vaudevillains want to get some monstrous heat tomorrow night they should just graciously accept their number one contendership and
wish Enzo a speedy recovery. "It is a shame about that, really. Seeing as how you started off the match as a--how do you so eloquently put it?
'A certified G' yet you ended the match...with a bonafide THUD."

Yeah, they might have to break script and finesse it on their own during their promo because that has cementing their hated heel status all over it as
far as opportunities go. Give Cass shit too for getting upset with a "real men from the 1890's didn't cry like you did, you oversized
small-brained sissy". Brass ring time so risk it even if Vince & Bukukky temporarily get tied up in knots about it.

Everybody knew it was going to happen, and the way they set it up you could tell it was coming, but the Superman Punch vs The Phenomenal Forearm spot
was great. If they end up becoming long-term rivals, that spot will be in a lot of highlight reels.

That Kevin Owens pic is great and glad to see Enzo is okay. Also, how awkward was it to have New Day sitting there eating pizza and goofing off at
ringside and then Enzo gets injured five feet away from them?
As for the main event, I thought it was great and it was everything I thought it would be. Yeah, I guess it's a little bit of a bummer not to
have an "OMG Reigns just turned heel!" moment or anything, but when the match is that good, it's hard to complain too much. Plus AJ Styles
will be main-eventing his second WWE PPV in three weeks, so there's that.
Speaking of which, did anyone else find Stephanie's comment about the Extreme Rules main event kind of cryptic? I don't even remember
exactly what she said, but it just seemed like she was very smug and happy about the decision for Reigns/AJ II (though I'm sure I'm
reading too much into that and it probably doesn't mean anything).

FWIW, I thought Steph's little tag was more sarcastic than cryptic. She had sort of started meandering about Styles deserving a rematch, and
mentioning Extreme Rules is coming up... and then Shane jumped in and said, "Yeah, my thoughts exactly. We should do Reigns vs. Styles, in an Extreme
Rules Match."
Vince signed off on it, with credit going to Shane. At which point, Steph did the bitchy "Wow, Shane, you read my mind. Great decision. I totally
agree with you."
Of course, that doesn't preclude the possibility that there's more to it. Like everybody else with a pulse, I'm starting to get
jazzed to see how Seth Rollins fits into things, given that he's not too far away from returning and (a) was HHH's "boy" when we last
saw him, and (b) hates Roman Reigns when we last saw him. Cena's return is also set for one week after Extreme Rules.
For as much as we all thought tonight's main event could end a billion different ways, the rematch in 3 weeks seems laden with even more
possibilities for long-term roster-setting. Is it wrong that I'm easily thrice as fired up for SummerSlam in August as I was for Mania back in
January? This is shaping up as a dandy three and a half months, if WWE plays its cards right.
Rick

Funny you should mention that. A buddy of mine just texted me a link to Kofi's Facebook page
where he was apparently livecasting the match from ringside just as shit went down. The camera work is obscenely bad, but Enzo takes the bump
somewhere around the 9:00-9:15 mark. Xavier was busy taunting the Spanish announcers or somebody to their left and missed the bump and just overplays
it Joey Styles-style(sorry) before realizing the gravity of the situation.

A couple of questions from someone who missed the show.
If Enzo was hurt outside the ring, why not a count out? Pretty clear E&Cass; were going over.
Styles - Reigns sounds like a top notch match. Did Reigns carry his side?

Since Enzo is okay, I had an idea for how they can get some easy heat on the Vaudevillains.
Just have them go up to Cass and say, "Hey Cass, how's Enzo doin?"

Considering that this wasn't a very deep card, the matches were pretty solid top to bottom. The ME was seriously overbooked, but if it leads to
more AJ in the ME, then I am ok with it. The ending of the Charlotte/Nattie match was an insult to our intelligence. Can we just put that 1997 crap
to rest?

No point in having them advance in the tournament if Enzo was too hurt to do the title match. Also they thought he might die. That's more
important than kayfabe.

yeah, those words are bad on my part. I meant by not counting Enzo out, it's pretty clear that they were intended to go over.

Was it that obvious? I actually thought the Vaudevillains would win. They just feel like a better/more natural fit to feud with New Day, and Enzo and
Cass can get back whatever heat they lose by getting on the mic Monday night.

Over at Cageside Seats, an obviously inferior site to OO, the predictors had it 5-0 for The Vaudvillains going over:
quote:
Enzo & Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains
Geno Mrosko: As much as I hate to say it -- actually, because of that hatred -- Gotch and English should win here so Enzo & Cass and keep chasing as
babyfaces fans will continue to get behind while The Vaudevillains go on to get beat by New Day and disappear off to Superstars within a month. Pick:
Vaudevillains
Sean Rueter: Been saying it since they revealed the bracket, so I'm not changing now. Bubba Ray & D-Von cost Enzo & Cass this match so they can
feud while the Aiden & Simon go on to do the job for the champs. Pick: Vaudevillains
Bill Hanstock: It's just way too early for Enzo and Cass to go up against New Day for the titles, particularly when they're the two
hottest tag acts in the entire company. I predict the Dudleyz will stick their noses into this one and cost The Realest Guys the victory. Pick: The
Vaudevillains
Cain A. Knight: I don't really see WWE rushing right into a feud of two hot babyface teams with Enzo and Cass versus New Day. Therefore I think
it is pretty likely that the Dudley Boyz show up at Payback and screw over Enzo and Cass. This will lead to the the Vaudevillains getting their one
big match against New Day before they eventually join The Ascension in the wasteland of jobber tag teams by June. Pick: The Vaudevillains
Kyle Decker: It doesn't feel like time to match up Enzo and Cass against the New Day yet. That's a feud better served for another day. I
think the Dudleys, upset about their loss and all the trash talk, end up interfering to cost the new E&C; the title shot. The Vaudevillains will do
better with more time working against the beloved New Day to help get them heat. I'm a fan of Aiden English on the mic so that show down has the
potential to get that heat too. Pick: The Vaudevillains
