With that kind of moveset, Ziggler could've made a hell of a tag team with Viscera.

I heart me some dastardly foreigner action. I know what the Mexicans are capable of but that was some next level evil Canadian conspiratory antics. Trump better get on that north wall too.

I loved the AJ heel turn. I do think they could have gotten a little bit more mileage out of him as a face, but otherwise, that whole segment was awesome. And holy shit has AJ been booked way better than I would have thought, considering he's basically a lifelong non-WWE guy.

And semi-related sidenote: I've been thinking recently that Cena is almost at the point in his career that Hogan was when he turned heel and formed the nWo, so at the beginning of the Cena/AJ segment (before AJ turned), I was thinking what if Cena and AJ wrestle at MITB and Cena turns heel and aligns with Gallows/Anderson, thus kicking off the "nWo heel" portion of his wrestling career. So I thought it was kind of funny that the segment tonight went the complete opposite way of what I was fantasy booking in my head and immediately squashed any notion of that happening in three weeks.

I, too, wondered if that MITB match had shed some poundage..

I kinda got the same impression, Cena's promo prior to AJ showing up had a very heelish tone to it. "Oh, the 'new era' with all these fresh young talents...well they all better get in line because I'm not going anywhere!"

That said, he prefaced that promo with some rah-rah America speech acting like he's the goddamn president, and he still does a bunch of mainstream tv/charity appearances and sells lots of t-shirts to little kids. Face Cena isn't going anywhere.

Yeah, I think that with the whole "new era" thing going on right now in the WWE, and Cena having basically accomplished everything one can over the past ten years, this would just be the prime time for him to have his "Hogan at Bash At The Beach '96" moment. Then you could have had a bunch of the newer babyfaces (Reigns, Styles, Ambrose, even guys like Enzo/Cass) going against him while Cena gets one last big title run as a heel.

With that said, yeah, you're right. Face Cena isn't going anywhere.

I can't wait until Cena is tapped as the "face" of the New Era while Finn Balor comes in as the savior for the old guard.

It'll be even better when Cena is facing CM Punk Jr. at Wrestlemania 55.

The best line of the night belonged to JBL, when he mentioned that a group of unicorns is called a glory, and then said the New Day were stomping a "glory hole" in Aiden English.

It was a night laden with dick references between that and Enzo & Cass mumbling something about that cheese "under there". You'd think JBL would know better though, as someone who shoved soap bars up asses for laughs, unless he was fucking around with Vince & Bukukky who are probably that damn clueless.

So... those #Hatch tweets were about GOLDBERG being in 2K17? Mmmkkkaaayyyy.

I guess using the 2K17 route to bring back an old character worked well for Sting (career ending injury excluded). Goldberg vs HHH at WM33 then?

Wonder if WWE has ever considered turning the entire roster heel other than Cena and Reigns because that way the fans would have NO CHOICE but to cheer them.

The backstage interactions between the MITB participants were both brilliant! Each guy had a at least one funny moment.

I know it has only been 5 months, but I had actually missed not having Cena around. This is coming from a non Cena fan. But when he got into Abe Lincoln, George Washington patriotic mode, I wanted him to leave again. He is one pandering mother fucker!! When Gallows & Anderson came out, you knew the AJ turn was coming. That was well done. My hope is that AJ doesn't end up the loser at the end of this feud. It's time for Cena to elevate the new guy. Yes, Cena and AJ are close age wise, but you need to push the new faces of the company, bottom line!
