Onslaught,
you'll help make sure we're around for years to come. Toss us as little as
a few bucks, or as much as your generosity allows. Thanks!
I'm rooting for the 49ers to pull off the unnecessary upset right now. If they happen to win, the Bears and Jaguars both jump ahead of them in
the draft, and the Niners are left both GM-less (for the best), coach-less (for the meh-est), and with a 4th pick in a draft that there may only wind
up being 3 decent players.
Edited to add: This might be the best thing to come out of this season:

How do you fire a coach like Chip Kelly after one year? His style is such there has to be roster turn over. It had to be a 3-4 year commitment.

First round playoff games are set:
Miami at Pittsburgh
Oakland at Houston
Detroit at Seattle
New York at Green Bay
And my playoff predictions:
Pittsburgh (3) over Miami (6)
Houston (4) over Oakland (5)
Seattle (3) over Detroit (6)
Green Bay (4) over New York (5)
New England (1) over Houston (4)
Pittsburgh (3) over Kansas City (2)
Green Bay (4) over Dallas (1)
Atlanta (2) over Seattle (3)
New England (1) over Pittsburgh (3)
Atlanta (2) over Green Bay (4)
New England (1) over Atlanta (2)
I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to be wrong about some of those (especially in the NFC, which I think is wide open), but that's my
best guess.
Also, how bad does it suck for Oakland to be 12-4 and having to be the fifth seed and opening the playoffs on the road (without their starting
quarterback, to boot)? 12-4 is usually enough to get a first-round bye and at least one home game in the playoffs.

Gonna jazz bracket my picks here and use the Force instead of any rational thought because there's really only two teams I give a shit about
winning and one team I would give any amount of money and/or hobo fellatio to see Aaron Hernandez break out of the joint and Bane the fucking stadium
they're playing in.
Fins beat the Steelers 30-15 back in October which started off the win streak that salvaged their season. Had Tannehill not gotten hurt and it
wasn't going to be a very non-South Florida-esque frozen hellscape, I'd give them a better than average chance to beat the Steelers. As it
stands, I'd say it's a toss up given the meh-ness of the two teams in comparison to the rest of the teams in contention. A Fin win and
I'll consider the season a major success.
Of course the Pack gets the Packer Whackers that are the goddamn NY Giants and their magical inbred lesser Manning child who is somehow the better
Manning QB when it counts. Packer D is hurting and will likely get it knocked in the dirt by the G-Men. Though, if we're lucky, it will be
amusing from a sink the ship to kill the Captain perspective because if none of the teams I like can get after it, at least the Patriots'
kryptonite will be there to sink them for the third time.
Speaking of which, I made this special poster for merc to use as a team banner to rally behind for the rest of the playoffs. Please only look at this
if you're merc or anyone else, but only those people I just listed. C'mon, honor system guys.

It would be nice for ATL to come out of the NFC, I'm leaning Seattle and hoping for the MFing Giants.
So Seattle beats the Cowboys in Dallas.
I think KC comes to Foxboro for their spanking. Cuz Tomlinson is not more than a cheerleader and Andy Reid sometimes coaches and it will be enuff to
overcome their talent shortcomings. But then...well Andy only sometimes coaches.

I'd actually feel bad for the Raiders having such terrible luck at the very end of a great season. Except that living in So Cal, there are
Raiders fans everywhere, and they're always the most bottom feeding gutter trash. So yeah, fuck that team, I hope they never win anything.
Is everyone mad here?
Of course they are, and you are too... otherwise, you wouldn't have come here.

This is the last remnant of that suck year of 2016, so I expect nothing to play out like it should. My picks:
Miami
Oakland (which will lead to whoever Oakland's starter is to get paid way more than they should by one of the teams sans QB this offseason)
Detroit
GB
KC
Miami
Green Bay
Detroit
Miami
Detroit
Miami because reasons.

Traditionally there is one road team that wins on Wild Card Weekend, that being said, I can see it being in the NFC:
WildCard Weekend:
Houston over Oakland simply because there has to be a winner.
Pitt over Miami because the better team should win at home
Seattle over Detroit because I remember a Seattle team that was great at home and mabey they do too
Giants over Green Bay because history says so (but if Detroit beats Seattle I am not watching this game)
Divisional Round:
New England over Houston because really you have to ask?
KC over Pitt because KC is the better team, but not betting any money on this since Andy Reid is still coaching
Atlanta over Seattle Not seeing the Seattle D stepping up
Giants over Dallas for #3 this season
Conference Championships:
New England over KC Andy Reid rears his poor coaching ugly head
Giants over Atlanta Because I am a homer and it is the only thing keeping Brady from 5. Probably will be Atlanta over Giants or Dallas
SB LI:
If it is Giants/Pats #3 Brady doesn't get number 5, otherwise Pats over Atlanta/Dallas/NFC

If Eli got a third Super Bowl ring, that would be fucking amazing. Just when everyone thought the universe righted itself with Peyton tying his
brother last year, Eli could be like "nope, fuck that...now I've got three, bitches!"
I do think though that the Packers (and more specifically, Aaron Rodgers) are too red-hot right now to lose this weekend, but I also will never count
Eli and the Giants out during playoff time.

Wow... Offer to immortalized people and they run for the hills...
OOMike, for your information (I love that little disclaimer, thanks for reviving it from the bowels of my memory!) I didn't really plan on
buying a flat piece of granite, a stone chisel and carving your name in it. It doesn't make any sense...think about it...where would I put it?
See?
Right, The mantle already has useless wood carvings about Lucky Lopez. Wood was easy and Red Sox blood runs thicker up here.
OH, and for your information, I lived in NYC, 12th St between 2nd & 3rd, the East Village right beside some of the NYU dorms. Maybe we were
neighbors?
I hope you all enjoy your team's games this weekend.

Maybe I'm delusional, but I'm really feeling a Miami upset over the Steelers. Pittsburgh isn't THAT good, and Miami has played very
well of late. If their running game can get going, the Dolphins have a real chance.
Super Bowl Prediction:
Green Bay over Kansas City.

Jay Ajayi turned out to be a damned hoss and I'd certainly give them a better chance if Tannehill weren't injured. Matt Moore can go, but
as a backup all those intangibles one gets playing mostly a full season just aren't there. He's been with the team for a while and the
players like him so at least he has a bit of the team chemistry thing going for him. Although the Dolphins have done this type of thing before with an
injured QB. Because that clearly correlates to success now.
As far as Green Bay over Kansas City, I knew I liked you.
