EXACTLY THIS. I couldn't think of a good way to put it, but that is EXACTLY how it felt. "Big Kid Overcome With Wonder & Joy (or
sadness, or frustration, depending on the storyline at the time)", instead of "haha let's laugh at the dummy". It actually made me have
FEELS sometimes.

Count me in on this. I particularly loved the bit where Nash and the other NWO guys kept telling Norton that Ernest Miller was disrespecting him just
to make Norton go out and kick the Cat's ass. It happened over and over again and it was always funny. And I enjoyed his "Vicious & Delicious"
tag team with Buff Bagwell.
Actually, that's another guilty pleasure of mine: Buff Bagwell.

Buff was actually pretty funny with the entrance and the big evil grin.
You know, everyone says it's not supposed to make sense, like that's the whole point, dude. And I'm just saying, you know,
that's like an excuse for lazy storytelling. Just don't sell me shite and tell me it's gold, all right? I might be stoned, but

Buff was a team player. He absolutely shined in tag teams and stables. His quips during matches were fantastic and he was as good as Nash and X Pac
were in the Horsemen impersonation. He just didn't have the technical skills to break out on his own.

He did know how to milk the showmanship for all it was worth. And almost made top-hats cool again too.
* another one of the things I found great was Ralphus, mostly because Jericho (who else could do it?) was able to find a bum out on the street and
made him more over than most of the rest of the WCW roster

I agree with Sal and DK Broiler about all the dancing fools we've had in wrestling over the years.
I also loved this:
EDIT TO ADD:
This is not a gimmick, but the Big Boss Man's story lines during the Attitude Era were guilty pleasures of mine. I loved when he stole the Big
Show's father's casket from the funeral and when he fed Pepper to Al Snow.

I love the monster heel gimmicks.
The huge, intimidating guys who just bulldoze through the roster.
Guys like Vader, the Road Warriors, Big Show, Braun Strowman, Taker, Sid Vicious, etc.
I know many of them couldn't wrestle their way out of a wet paper bag but there is something about a guy who can wrestle a whole match using
only three power moves.

CCharger,
I don't see what there is about monster heels that make them a guilty pleasure. They're all pretty awesome - or at least the ones you
named are - and have great appeal among wrestling fans. The Road Warriors, Vader, and the Undertaker, for instance, are all widely liked and
respected. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman is arguably the most over wrestler on the current WWE roster. The Big Show has plenty of detractors in the IWC,
but I think that had more to do with crappy booking than anything else. He seems also to have earned plenty of respect as a performer.
Of the guys you named, the only one I can think of who isn't cool to be a fan of is Sid. That said, I have no problem admitting that I was a
huge Sid mark. The guy got over on his look, the crazed look in his eyes, his sheer intensity, and on a chokeslam and a powerbomb. He got way over. He
was cheered when he dumped Hogan from the Royal Rumble in '92 (and Hogan was booed when he pulled him out of the ring), and he was also cheered
as the heel against Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series '96 in Madison Square Garden. If the Garden crowd can get behind you in favour of HBK, it
has to be acceptable to be a fan of Sid.

There's different levels. There are the guys who are flatout workrate horses who can keep it up with regular sized guys like Taker, Vader, and
Lesnar. Then there's the guys who aren't that fluid in the ring, but they move and hit like an athlete, have a killer look, and while not
always being capable of providing a great match, can usually deliver great moments with cool looking power moves or destroying their opposition. Guys
like the Road Warriors, Goldberg, and Kane. And of course there's guys in between.
Then there's the guys who literally only have their size going for them. No remarkable in ring skills or promo skills, no cool power moves, no
freakish speed. Just a plodding giant. These are the ones who suck.

Most of the guys I inexplicably liked earlier than most people later became really big players. I guess I have a pretty good wrestling scouting
department. My best call was probably when I yelled at Ted Dibiase that "Cody carries you" making them both start laughing at a house show. At the
time the IWC was like 97% in favor of Ted Jr being the star.

My mind was definitely blown when I discovered the truth about Montoya and Justin Credible
I loved Jack Swagger, particularly his championship run. His promo with the ring filled with his trophies is an all time classic. I wish we could have
the Swagger/Shelton/Jordan/Gable Stable running wild on the WWE right now.
I'll also hope on the support train for Buff Bagwell and Norman Smiley.
Paying $40 to get a T-Shirt and my picture taken with D'lo Brown certainly made me feel guilty while bringing much pleasure.

We might be the same person as I still think that Jack Swagger was criminally under used. And as a kid, I had my picture taken with D-Lo, as well and
was a huge fan.
We differ on the Bagwell/Smiley thing, however.

While we're talking about guys with "dancing goofball" gimmicks, we can't forget about Ernest Miller. He was one of the bright spots, at
least gimmick-wise, of late-era WCW, and his appearance in 2004 has to be one of the all-time greatest Royal Rumble moments.

If we're going full goofball we should add Norman Smiley to the list, for everything from the Big Wiggle dance to the most cowardly defense of a
hardcore title in wrasslin' history. That and the fact that everyone he worked with seems to genuinely love the guy too.

I will endorse Norman Smiley as a guilty pleasure. Dude looked like he was having -fun- and it was contagious, but I don't think (had I been
asked in that era) I would've admitted to loving the Big Wiggle. Now, though, it's cool to be pro-wiggle.

I feel no guilt about loving Norman Smiley.
Swagger was always good fun in the ring. His incredible lisp was always a bit distracting in terms of promos, but he was just fine when Dutch was
doing the talking for him.

Mantaur.
1) I don't want to figure out the mechanics of how he became half man, half minotaur but all MANTAUR!
2) I loved that once he removed the bull's head to wrestle, he still had his 'horns.'
3) Never shall I complain about entrance music again.

I hated Beefcake and only watched Akeem because of Slick. Papa Shango, however, was some scary shit for a ten year old, which was really cool. The
Ultimate Warrior puking bit is still one of the most memorable bits of that era.

So Many:
1. "The Model" Rick Martel right at top of the list. Did he ever win a belt in the WWE?
2. Crush. Absolutely hated Michaels defeating him at KOTR 1993.
3. Gangrel.
