The last time I played Fantasy Basketball was a few years ago but I'd be up for jumping back in.
The last time I played, the same guy got Steve Nash two years in a row, while Nash was putting up insane numbers, which caused the guy's team to
blow out everyone else in the league.

I'd totally be down for fantasy basketball.
Re: teams being held hostage; it's not so much people not staying where they were drafted. People who bitched about Lebron not wanting to stay
after his contract in Cleveland ended can shut up, because he can play wherever he wants. The problem is not letting your current team know
you're not coming back until it's too late -- like what Lebron and Shaq did. For players of that caliber to basically screw a team who
paid them millions of dollars is pretty shitty. I'm not sure if Cleveland will have another good team for ten years, which is about how long it
took Orlando to get good again.
Yeah, I know, nobody made Cleveland or Orlando take the risk to keep these players, but a small-market franchise shouldn't be ruined for trying
to keep their stars.

Yeah, hut that's not what reilly was writing about since Carmelo made it clear he diet want to be there. And yeah, Lebron was an ass but
he's an exception. No one else has jerked there team around like that. Howard and Paul are a year away from their contract ending and
shouldn't be expected to say anything about it now.
Plus, everyone who complains about this forgets the part where teams deny trade.rumors then suddenly trade a guy. If they want a franchise tag,
everyone should get a few trade vetos.

Shaq jerked Orlando around. I'm a homer and I'm biased, but Shaq never said he wouldn't sign with Orlando with the max contract,
more than the Lakers could have offered -- all while knowing that he was signing with Los Angeles all along. He could have let the team know so they
would not lose a superstar or five draft picks in a trade and chose not to. He helped ruin the Magic for over a decade; I'm really surprised
the franchise was able to stay afloat.
Carmelo was a bit disingenous. He'd demand a trade and then deny it, and would only be traded to a team of his choosing, costing his employers
a better deal with other teams. He certainly would have fucked Denver much more if given the chance.
EDIT: True, Howard and Paul definitely don't need to talk about it now; it's too early. Once the appropriate time comes, however, they
definitely should inform the team of what it would take to keep them, and if nothing can, then get value for them on the market.

Why should.carmelo.have accepted.a.trade.when he could wait 6 months for free agency? Yeah, he was kind of a Dick through the whole thing, but he did
his job. I don't think anyone has accused him of tanking it in Denver.
It's just so hypocritical.that the.media and teams expect superloyalty from these players when almost every team (except apparently the Yankees)
will trade.or.cut someone as soon as they think its worth it. And of course half the time they'll deny it or keep.it secret until the last
minute.

True, but in basketball I'm pretty sure the contracts are guaranteed, unless maybe in circumstances like Gilbert Arenas' last year in
Washington. If a player gets cut or traded, then they still get their money (unless if they agree to a buyout like Mike Bibby just did). In
football, however, players really do get fucked ALL THE TIME by owners.

Actually, I think the Bulls could go definitely go all the way. They're more well-rounded than either Orlando or Miami, and I think they could
take Boston in a seven game series because of their youth. If that happens, then all bets are off.

I'd love to believe in the Bulls... but there is a little known clause in sports that goes "Any team that Dead Ben is a fan of, will tank in
the playoffs." See Bears, Chicago.

I think the guaranteed contracts are the first things that the owners are.going after when they renegotiate the CBA.
And yeah, the trading.doesn't cost the players that much money but it can screw them over. Perkins was supposedly heartbroken at the trade, and
tons of players suddenly have to uproot.families or leave a house they just bought. It's just hypocritical to expect players to be superloyal to
a team when the team has no loyalty to them.

According to Lakers fans on Facebook, today is rationalized away as "BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS, BABY - how many YOU got? " and touting previous
championships.
I never realized that the Lakers were the Yankees...or at least one of the NBA's version of them.

Total class by the Lakers today. I expected nothing less. I wasn't even watching, but when I heard they were down huge I turned it on, knowing
it was gonna get ugly and as soon as I did, Odom & Bynum get ejected for being children. Wouldn't shock me if Phil told them to do it too.

Laker fans can brag about the past all they want, but they haven't been made someone's bitch like this in over fifteen years. I smiled
during every minute of whatever sport resembling basketball that they were playing today.

I had to miss the game due to work, but I fucking LOVE seeing the Lakers get swept out of the playoffs. Apparently that is the first time that Phil
Jackson has been swept in a playoff series and the first time he's failed to three-peat. And to have them get blown out like that was even
sweeter.
And I saw footage of the cheapshot by Bynum on Yahoo...what a dick.

I'm not a Lakers fan, but I don't dislike them at all. I want to like the franchise overall, but we saw who they really are under
adversity today and I don't blame the haters one single bit.

If you weren't already talking about Rajon Rondo before this weekend, I don't know what to say. He had bad games in Miami, but the kid is
magical and I thought everyone already knew that. Derrick Rose is the only reason there should be any doubt about Rondo being the best PG in the
league.

When it happened live, it didn't look like much. But on the 3rd or 4th replay they caught the RIGHT angle - the one they kept replaying over
and over again - and COTDAMN. In the split seconds after that was happening, my phone line was blowing up with friends talking about "HE'LL
NEVER PLAY AGAIN!" Even some announcers were likening it to a Theisman incident. Then he came back out and played IN THE SAME GAME.
MRIs are negative, he will most likely play Game 4, but when that happened - man, the earth stood still for minute I swear. That's what
I'm talking about Rondo for.

You forgot about the actual best PG in the league: Chris Paul. Look at the numbers (better than
Rondo and Rose across the board, except
Rose's PPG) and remember that Paul is playing on a pretty bad team, to boot. I'm not saying Rondo isn't very, very good: he is. As
he showed yesterday, he's also very tough. He just isn't the best PG in the game.

I think there will be doubt about that as long as shooting is important.
I can't believe Miami let him do that. They should have been hacking and fooling him the rest of the game.
Bynum looked like a total sociopath on that hit. Almost killed a guy and showed no emotion at all.

Who thought the Grizzlies would still be in the playoff right now, not to mention fighting in a game 7 to advance to the Western Conference Finals?
Also, Bulls/Heat? I'm there, dude.

K. I will. Hit a fucking jump shot, Rondo. No? How about a free throw?
Dude's got big cajones for playing with a dislocated elbow, showed a lot of toughness.
But until he can make a jump shot, the defense only has to cover 4 guys.
I'm not saying he needs to be Ray Allen. I'm saying hit a fucking 12-foot jump shot with no one guarding you.
