Missing OOsters
Yes I know that life happens....people:
..get new jobs that alter their posting behaviors
..have their internet access changed
..lose interest in wrestling
..get a life and find other things to consume their time
..go on vacations..
..etc etc etc
That being said, where's nOOb? He's "SD Spoilers" guy...
He hasn't posted in over a month..but seems to be logging into his account fairly regularly (had yesterday when I checked..or at least someone
had).

It's hard to believe that anyone could make a show so obnoxious on all levels that it makes something as repellent as Sex In The City look like
it came from the golden age of television in comparison.

Is anyone really sure that Lucky isn't dead or comatose or something? The way he so comprehensively disappeared after becoming the dominant
poster around here was quite startling. He was up there with Dev and a couple of the other OO lads when it came to knowing what was going on in
wrestling in just about every promotion at any given time so the "I'm sick and tired of wrestling and of talking about it" doesn't seem
to be too plausible for such a dedicated acolyte like him. It's hard to believe that he hasn't been able to pay off his internet bill and
get back online in the two or three years since he left.

Yeah, we always joke that he's dead/incarcerated, but does anyone actually know? The only thing I've heard is that he owes a bunch of
people around here money from fantasy baseball or something.

Yeah, I pretty much haven't posted for a little over a month so I could randomly do that. I was bored. Also, haven't watched wrestling
in that timeframe because 1) TNA sucks and every time I give it a chance based on people saying it hasn't been bad for a few weeks, I tune into
see the hot garbage they usually produce and 2) WWE has made next-to-no effort to build up Wrestlemania, and apparently decided the Hall of Fame
class needed to stop with Donald Trump (and the inductions were the only thing keeping me watching). So I had nothing to say on half the board, and I
forgot about the other half. And really wanted to randomly bust out the "Surprise Motherfucker" montage.
That's been the last month for me, what's new with you guys?

Y'know, I haven't been on the internet much beyond looking at wiki-guides for parts of games I get stuck on, and while it is a cross
between work (tourist season in Moab is ramping up, so we've been swamped with drunken assholes coming out of the wood works) and other things
(radio show and planning for football season), I've sort of taken a hiatus from the internet as I've noticed that it's become more
than a fun tool for learning new things and reading news. Sad to say, that in a lot of cases (like the over-abundance of unusually personal, and I
mean TOO personal posts on Facebook and the like) it's become a lot of people's sole outlets into the world, and I for one am making a
concerted effort to keep from becoming one of those that can't live without checking e-mail or the internet on a daily basis.
That's not to say that I don't log on to check e-mail or go on my radio show's Facebook page or anything (I'm a cop. I have a
public radio show, I need to communicate with parents about the upcoming football season.), but I've noticed that more and more people have
become too reliant on social media and technology as a whole and while I'm not one of those who is resistant to change, I'm choosing to
embrace the concept of face to face interactions as much as possible and not limiting myself to being glued to the computer all day. I realize the
irony in posting this on a message board, but I've become of the mind that more personal interaction with people has benefited me far greater
than just being a screen name or persona.
That said, I do miss coming onto OO and seeing the board abuzz with activity and do appreciate the unique posters and conversations and friendships
I've made over the years here. Glad to know you bastards!

I've never seen it either, but my wife is literally the only white woman I know right now who isn't constantly blathering on about it
and/or Downton Abbey.
I also spend a lot of time on Twitter and if there's one thing white ladies love as much as "Girls", it's over-validating Lena Dunham,
who I read an interview with in EW and seems to be a wretched chore of a human being. I don't get people at all.

Any other show and your fears may be warranted. But not Game of Thrones. It is almost universally recognized as great. Heck, my mom likes it, and
she generally hates any shows with nudity (she just catches it on DVR and skips those parts). Get it.

Every new generation needs a new awful of their own, although for some reason females seem to be more adept at choosing someone who breaks new ground
with obnoxiousness, a la Dunham. With the females of my age group it was Madonna. Guys don't seem to do this as much because I sure can't
remember any of us wandering around twenty years ago going "I'm sure glad that Pauly Shore's providing a new voice for my
generation/gender".
Dunham's also exploiting the New York angle to it's full extent too because, y'know, if it doesn't happen in New York it
doesn't count.

I don't know I feel like the second season came pretty close to jumping the shark(Whatever episode had the weird witch lady gets impregnated by
some sort of demon or some shit, my memories pretty lousy.) All I know is that I found myself hate watching quite a few episodes. Still I recon,
apart from some ridiculous plot lines it is a fairly entertaining show.

to up the viewership. Xfinity.com from march 25-April 3 it's available.

Everybody should have one universally beloved show that they don't watch. For me its Walking Dead. I'm sure it's great, but if i
watch i won't get that sense of smug satisfaction when people give me the, "You don't watch that???" face.
