Here's hoping Bobby Roode becomes a mega-star in WWE and one day that theme song is sung by 80,000 people at WrestleMania. Because that would
be...well...glorious.

Mark it down: that song is TOTALLY getting Windhamandrotundo'd within the next few years.
I don't know by whom, and I say this as a moderate fan of Roode (I just think, like Aries, he's a bit too generic to make a huge mark on
WWE/NXT when his best years are behind him; Joe, at least, has an utterly unique look and hook)... but somebody else is gonna come along and make that
song famous, just like Hulk Hogan did with "Real American," which was not written for him but which was too epic to be denied!

At first I thought you were referencing Bray Wyatt/Husky Harris and I had a total "huh?"
Then I understood you were talking about the two guys with the last names, not the one guy with the other guy's last name as his first name.

Might be giving him too much credit, but I feel Roode did a better version of what Jericho tried to do in his come back in 2012. Jericho kept mute to
get all those cheers out of the way and work his way to being a heel, Roode kept yammering on with cliche phrases and fake excitement to keep the
cheap pops coming until it started to piss off the fans. Unlike Jericho, Roode followed it up with a great punchline, shitting on NXT and acting above
it by claiming he'll make it something else. It's a basic character trait but it's been unheard of in the extra positive ambient of
NXT where even the heels treat the brand as a big deal(even Owens took pride in being it's face) and not as a project they have to elevate.
Color me excited for Bobby Roooode.

Yes, this reminds me of Christian's (first solo?) theme. Not a bad thing, really. I liked the glam opera-rock then, I likes it now just
fine.

On the fence with Roode, but remember that he wasn't very good in TNA until he was. He's one of those guys who needs to get comfortable
and set, so I won't judge him too much off of the promo, which was okay, but a little flat. I'd say he's got a 50/50 shot of making
it to the main roster.
Edit: One more thing that may or may not be to Roode's benefit - he looks a lot like Triple H, especially when wearing the suit.

I thought Bobby Roode's promo was good, in theory, and Bobby did a pretty good job of delivering it, although the timing seemed a tad off. To be
honest, it reminded me a bit of Hogan's speech when he came to TNA and talked about how the 6-sided ring only got them so far, and he (Hogan)
was there to take them to the next level. If you remember correctly, that is about the time that crowd completely turned on Hogan, much to
Hogan's surprise.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bobby took some of that experience, as he was a part of TNA at the time, and used it to craft this promo. I sure hope
so as it is that type of call back and referential type material that I love to see happen in entertainment (like easter eggs in movies that reference
other movies, actors, etc.)
Good to see KENTA back. He looked pretty aggressive and I don't think it will be too long before we see him at the top of the card, assuming his
health issues are behind him now.
Also, I am amazed at how fully stocked NXT's tag team division is. They lose American Alpha, Enzo/Cass, Vaudevillains within four or five
months, yet still have three top quality teams to build the division around. Good on them.

Bobby Roodes theme melted my brain so much I actually forgot about Gargano and Ciampa's little bit, I'm glad they're finally letting
them have a proper run at something because that promo was pretty funny.
I also really like seeing Ciampa stiff people's souls from their bodies.

I'd love for them to add 1 more heel team to put on the level of the 3 top teams right now. And it's good to start seeing the next wave of
women starting to show up and get pushes with Billie Kay, Ember Moon because Bayley has to be called up right after Brooklyn especially if the plan is
to put her on Smackdown to lead that brand as champ to push a long-term story of Bayley v. Sasha and title v. title.

Nakamura continues to be one of the best things going in the WWE. Walking up to a pissed-off Joe that's being held back by security and decides
to play a game of "Got-Your-Nose." Only Nakamura could be able to pull that off and make it look awesome.

Last NXT before Takeover Brooklyn added a match:
Ember Moon debuts against Billie Kay. And if you've been paying attention for the past 6 months, I'm expecting Ember Moon to impress early
and often, and for many reasons.
Other than that, not a whole lot to talk about. Basic maintenance work, all around. Nice pre-tape "main event" promo, but it did not add to my
desire to see that match. They tried to force feed a soft re-launch of the women's division (and Graves' is approaching Lawler levels of
annoying on that front; his two favorite women are Eva from "Total Divas" and Mandy from "Tough Enough," because hair and makeup), which kinda
fell flat, and my favorite little takeaway was that they brought back Mustafa Ali for a squash loss. He was an unexpected little surprise from the
first round of the CWC.
Oh, wait: that little mid-show video package is the closest WWE has come to reviving the old "Pulp Fiction Segment" from ECW, and I really enjoyed
it. Cramming 4 matches into one 2 minute segment, with the emphasis on fresh, value-added verbiage instead of clips and narration, was effective, I
thought.

If Bobby Roode doesn't give everyone a head nod of acknowledgement and approval when the guitar riff starts for his theme tonight, I feel like
it'll be a huge let down.

The Joe/Nakamura build up is by far the best for any NXT main event yet, that closing interview segment this week was absolute gold. Even with the
fairly stacked card Summerslam is gonna be playing second fiddle again this year..

Quick predictions,
Titan-Killer Joe hands Nakamura his first lost, Bayley beats Asuka in the shock of the night, Roode wins his debut, No Way Jose upsets Aeries to drive
him even more nuts, Ember Moon has a dominant debut, and The Revivals get dethroned by another popular tag team.

NXT's crowd is roughly 15,000 - has Bobby Roode ever fought in front of that many before?
I seriously can't imagine where he could have done it. He was in TNA most of his career, and their biggest crowds were for a few BFG shows and
the U.K. TV tapings, all of which drew about 11-12k. He's also competed at Sumo Hall, but that holds 13,000.
Crazy to think that so many awesome guys who stayed in TNA most of their career, have never competed in front of "big" crowds.

I was thinking that looking at Ciampa, crazy eyes aside, he looked generally "woah" when he was posing on the turnbuckle.
Also, on Roode: Perfect entrance for that character, if you're gonna rip off Ric Flair and have "that" theme song you go all out. Well
played.

That match...and this PPV so far, was absolutely fantastic.
Why is Bobby Roode not on the main roster? He is crazy over and that entrance is top notch.
The crowd is a little wankery but at least they are alive. A live crowd makes the live experiences so much better.

I really don't see how that can't have been Bayley's last NXT match. It's time to move on. I'd put her on smackdown and
keep her away from Sasha Banks until at least WM next year.

Agreed. As soon as I saw the dude standing there with the violin I got goosebumps. That dude deserves massive amounts of respect for keeping his cool
and getting himself just the right amount of attention.
Fingers crossed, we get to see it again next year with a full orchestra at Mania. One can hope...
