Same, I saw the violin and I just instantly got chills. I wasn't expecting that until Mania.

Takeover was very good. But let's be honest, here? Takeover is pretty much always very good. Part of me almost thinks Summerslam might be a bit of a letdown, even if it's decent as well.

So does Joe follow all the others in the "NXT Champion, lose title, move to main roster" path? If so, where do you put him? I think both he and Bayley should be smackdown bound. Joe could be an instant credible threat to Ambrose or show up as a face and go for Miz's IC title.

Yeah, a Joe call-up would be absolutely terrific just to see what he can do there. It'll probably be one of those moments for Vince when, like with AJ, he'll come out after a couple of months of Joe on the main roster and say he regrets not signing him a long time ago. Great night for the theme songs. Nakamura wins for chillin' but Roode wins too just for boisterousness. If I had one complaint about tonight it would have been that, just like the Four Horsewomen did at the end of the Bayley match, AJ, Anderson, Gallows, and Balor should have come out after Nakamura won just for an all Bullet Club MSG Incident type of moment. There's no way that crowd wouldn't have absolutely erupted for it.

You know, everyone says it's not supposed to make sense, like that's the whole point, dude. And I'm just saying, you know, that's like an excuse for lazy storytelling. Just don't sell me shite and tell me it's gold, all right? I might be stoned, but I'm not high. You know what I mean?

With RAW getting a whole new division, I think any non-Cruiserweight NXT prospect is a solid bet for SD for the next few months.Only thing is that Joe will likely stick around for the next TakeOver and after that it's the winter months which rarely feature a big debut. Maybe they'll hold on off on Joe till the Rumble.

The Revival keep killing it and I wish they could be co-Arn Andersons to somebody's Ric Flair. Roode being the obvious choice. They would be fucking amazing in that role.

Im quietly hoping we get that tonight, at the end of SummerSlam when Balor and Rollins complete a double turn, and we close with AJ, new tag champs Gallows and Anderson, and Champion of the Universe Finn Balor all celebrating.

I'm still waiting to see if Joe is hurt or not. He did a pretty good job of selling a broken jaw if he isn't.

Nakamura was never in the Bullet Club, was he? I don't follow NJPW very closely.

You are correct - he was not. He was in New Japan's other leading faction: CHAOS.

They were overhead "X'ing" him at the bell but they've definitely done that as a work/precaution before, he did look legit concerned though.

According to Joe, he dislocated his jaw, which would actually explain his face when he kicked out and took the second knee. I'm curious to see if he actually misses any time on this one.

http://wrestlingnews.co/former-tna-champion-signs-deal-with-wwe-nxt/

quote:
Former TNA Champion Eric Young, 36, has signed a deal with NXT. The belief is that they are waiting for the right time to debut him as a full-time performer. Young lost a match to Samoa Joe several weeks ago but he was not signed yet.

Young was a steady hand in TNA. He was part of Team Canada with Bobby Roode during the early years of TNA and then he eventually transitioned into a comedy babyface character and eventually into a nasty heel towards his later years with the company.

Both Young and Roode left TNA in March and reports surfaced later on about TNA having issues paying them.

NXT has shows coming up in Canada from 9/22 to 9/24 so it would make sense to feature Young on those shows. They will be in Toronto on 9/22, St. Catharines on 9/23 and Kitchener on 9/24.

EY's a solid hand and a veteran worker, I've got no issues with this.

Eric Young is okay at what he does, but I'm not interested in seeing him get a push. I hope he is going to be used to put over new talent, just like how Rhino was used in his run with NXT last year.

At this point in his career, I don't see him as anything other than someone who would put over talent. He also clearly made enough of an impression on them in his match with Joe to get a contract,
