reason to watch TNA back when he was on fire over there, so I'm hoping he can find his groove soon
This has intrigued me too. And I kinda think Nakamura's huge groundswell of support has directly related to Aries' lack of impact thus
far. It's kinda funny because I assume they thought Aries was gonna come in and be giganticly over but you never know where the fans will go
and in this case, they chose Nakamura. I think at this point you've gotta turn Aries heel (which is always a wonderful thing) and let him do
his thing from there.
I think he plays such a great asshole that I don't see why they wouldn't have him heel from day one. The WWE needs great heals and they
are really, really low in that department.

The Authors of Pain should change their name to Store Brand, because they are generic as fuck. Everything about them is generic-- their look, their
music, their ring gear, their green ass moveset. The only thing I felt while watching their match was bad for Paul Ellering.
Is everyone mad here?
Of course they are, and you are too... otherwise, you wouldn't have come here.

I agree that the Authors of Pain could have used some kind of hook to get them insta-over (and that hook was the cool masks they wore on the "Dark
NXT" house show circuit for the past several months).... but let's not insta-bury them when their whole gimmick is Paul Ellering keeping us in
the dark (they don't even have NAMES yet) and telling interviewers "all in good time."
Those two will be OK. I've seen footage on Dhinsa that is not terrible, and "Jism Salami" is actually a world class amateur wrestler (I know
"Albanian Kurt Angle" doesn't mean a whole lot, because Albania is Albania, but we're not talking about a hack, either).
Tag division in NXT is decimated, especially if Alpha get plucked by WWE.... but AoP can help replenish. We've already got a rebooted Ciampa and
Gargano set as challengers to the Revival, and WWE is clearly behind TM61 (can we all just agree to call them The Mighty?). Can we keep undoing the
Blake/Murphy break-up, and get the Hype Bros back? Even if Alpha leaves, that's 6 solid teams, 3 face and 3 heel....
Anyone else catch the fact that Samoa Joe quietly started referencing the NXT Title as the "NXT World Championship" on this week's show? First
time I know of that's happened, and the fact that it was not edited out sets my brain working a thousand miles per second.... with the brand
split coming up, that can't be by accident?
Can it?

For what it's worth Bayley and Alexa had a very good fight this week. Bayley won but Alexa showed she's up there now in terms of in-ring
ability. Between that and the heel turn allowing her to build a real nasty little character she should hopefully also be called up to the main roster
someday soon too. Nice seated flip off the top turnbuckle into a Canadian-destroyer type move as seen here.
Plus she has the best trunks in the business, especially as they start sliding upwards to show off more of the bottom of her butt cheeks as the match
progresses.

I think Alexa's improved by leaps and bounds. That match with Bayley was really fun and I totally bought into the near-falls.
Man, that crowd, though - Bayley got the Cena split, with the girls and kids chanting for her and the dudes chanting for Alexa, presumably because
she's the 'hotter' of the two. Which is just...look, whatever makes your boner happy and people have a right to boo and cheer as
they like, but it just didn't sit well. Bayley is such a classic, awesome babyface and she's a great worker, too, so literally the only
reason to cheer the heel over her is either a) to be smarky and contrary or b) huh huh Alexa's hawt.
I dunno - it's probably not a big deal, it just bugged me.

Steamboat was the best pure babyface ever and fans would sometime be split between him and Flair. Bliss is on fire right now while Bayley is going
through a standard climb back to the top story.
I don't think there's much to overthink there.

Be good for board morale if someone, who could they be, who had a way with gifs so to speak put together a montage tribute to Alexa and her too-tight
trunks. I mean, it would be in the best interest of the OO Universe and all that. Nothing pervy intended, pervs.

That Bayley/Bliss match really was very good. As the trailblazing perv who pointed out Alexa's unreasonable hotness a full two years ago after
she'd been on TV a grand total of once (ain't I observant?), I'm heartened to see that the equally undeniable raw athleticism she
displayed back then has finally developed into a very capable in-ring performer.
I think perhaps, I shall stay one step ahead of the crowd, and cease my Alexa lusting, and simply appreciate her for the talented and hardworking
grapplesmithstress that she is. Instead, I will turn my pervy eye to Ember Moon, whom I can have all to myself. At least, until she makes a grand
total of one TV appearance, at which point, you'll all jump on the bandwagon, too. Oh yes, you will (and this day is coming quite soon, too).
On a more serious note, I think the conventional wisdom was that they'd be wrapping up Balor's tenure so he can make the jump to the main
roster, which is why they are rushing Balor/Shinsuke onto next Wednesday's show (that amazing video package for the match has me sold that they
could have saved it, and Balor/Nakamura would have burned Barclay's to the ground on SummerSlam Weekend)..... but kind of out of left field,
they've completely used up American Alpha, now, too, and that has to mean a call up for them, too, as part of the brand split. Huh.
Excellent 2 out of 3 falls match, on the way out, though. FINALLY, a 3 falls match on a WWE stage gets the psychology right: the first fall takes 20
minutes, because THAT'S HOW LONG GOOD/COMPETITIVE MATCHES TAKE IF THEY'RE ONE FALL. Then, it's frantic and chaotic, as four guys
with various levels of exhaustion and/or injury go for the kill shot(s), and you do the final 2 falls in 4-5 minutes. Believable and exciting, whereas
every WWE PPV 3 falls match has them just rush into 2 falls in the first 5 minutes (which is just aggressively phoney), and it turns into a de facto
regular match as the final fall goes for 15 minutes.

As the one who posted the most Alexa gifs I'd call it more aesthetic appreciation than bandwagon jumping. Now to visit Pornhub and look up

I think Aries' problem is that he was miscast. He is not cool, he's a douchey try hard who just happens to be one of the best. He can work
as a face but only after building a groudswell of support first and the character can be tweaked to somebody who is awesome but sometimes overdoes it,
but even then he's never remained face for that long. He's super overness in TNA as the top face only lasted a couple of months before
switching back to being a dick.
He's a heel Jeff Winger. The fact that he took for fucking ever to turn on No Way Jose(doing a full dance number and everything) just so
it'd be more dramatic is the most genuine Austin Aeries moment he's had since coming to NXT and I'm confident he'll now find
his groove.

No mention of Deonna Purrazzo yet? Forrrrr shaaaaame.
And as much as I agree with Rick re: Nak/Finn at Barclays, I' alright with it being burnt now as I'd still much rather see Joe and the
King of Strong Style stiff the shit out of each other in front of a guaranteed rabid crowd for the NXT Title. Either way a winner is us.

Yeah, I've come to be a big fan of Alexa Bliss over the past few months. Her ring work especially is a surprise, and I pay attention now when I
hear her music hit. I pay attention to how her ass looks in those trunks of hers, as well, and have indeed noticed that they get better as the match
progresses.

That was one of the better Wednesday NXT's in awhile. Bliss has become pretty dang good. I like her "three moves of doom". Not sure if anyone
has used it but insult to injury is different and looks good. So with that and hopefully the continuation of the modified Canadian Destroyer thing
along with her finisher, she will continue to improve and enhance the division.
That tag match was one of the better 2/3 falls matches I've seen in awhile. I like Dawson's portion. It is hard to place it but he just
does something that enhances the match when he's in the ring. It was a good send off for AA but I'm hoping they have a victorious feud
with the AOP. I'm guessing the Gargano/Ciampo are next and we'll see how good the Revival really are.

Yoo, I went to NXT Louisville tonight and had a fucking great time. Finn got on the mic after a 10 person tag celebrating with his team of American
Alpha, Nakamura, and Bayley and said "Is there a window open in here? I feel a draft."
Also I can't inbed things, but Bayley did a belly-to-Bayley on Bobby Rhode. Worth the ticket price right there.

I hope this was a curtain call of sorts. All those guys deserve to be on the main roster. Bring Nakamura up too.

Yeah, it was pretty fucking cool. There were a lot of neat moments like that during the 10 person tag. That corner jiration thing Nakamura does in the
corner? All 5 got in and did that to one of the guys in the corner.
Nakamura was going crazy before the match and doing Bayley's highfive thing, but in such a frantic crazy way, know one knew it was coming and
just received laughter.
The show, and that match specifically, were just full of good feels. It wasn't a super sold out venue, but we got LOUD at a lot of those spots.
I say this as someone whose been to quite a few WWE house shows. I've also been bored at a lot of them, found them pretty meh, but it was cool
to see guys I liked wrestle(I got to touch Daniel Bryan's hand as he high fived the front rows on the way out. Glad I got to see him
specifically seeing how his career turned out). This was totally the most fun I've had at a wrestling event, and it wasn't lost on me how
cool it was to be 6 rows out from so many Wrestlemania Main Eventers.
Kenta came back too, but I think he's been making the house show rounds lately too. It is also really cool to me seeing guys like
Nakamura/Finn/Itami, legends who have sold out the Tokyo Dome and whatnot visit my town for a dinky house show. That stuff feels pretty cool.

I can see everyone there except Nakamura getting moved up tonight. I love Nakamura, but he still has unfinished business in NXT, that being a program
with Joe.
I even got into a bit of an argument on another board last night with a guy who was asking how this was cool, and yet if a man did this to a woman,
people would be pissed off. It was a harmless, feel-good spot on a house show that was basically akin to Bayley saying "Alright, I took her down.
While I'm here, might as well take him down as well."

Given that it was Bobby Roode, who has, in fact, done that and worse to women in TNA, I consider it character-based justice.

I was also at the show, a few rows in front of where that embedded tweet was shot. The show was fun for the most part. Nothing remotely memorable
outside of the Alpha/Revival match and the closing sprint of the main event. Still, it was pretty cool seeing the big faces of NXT before half of them
split.
Scott Dawson was by far the best person live. I think he did Roode's "glorious" taunt 356 times during the main event.
A bit disappointed in the match selection, but overall a thumbs up.
