My literal reaction to hearing about Jinder's title win: "Oh, okay, well, that's a thing."

I'm going with CIG and hoping Jinder gets a fair chance, and not just because he's the first WWE title holder from my neck of the woods since Bret Hart. Jinder is reliable enough in the ring, pretty solid in that big guy way that applies to those with the Orton/Sheamus/Cesaro/Corbin sort of physique. And like all those other guys he has his moment of sudden explosiveness that works effectively enough. Him as champ also opens up other new feuds we haven't seen yet, especially with Rusev who's slated to come back fairly soon.

The better part is that it takes the attention away from Orton for a bit. That's just not anti-Orton negativity either. It's because the House of Horrors was such a mess that Orton needs some time away from that atrocity so it can be forgotten just to get any residue of HOH off of him. If Orton takes some time off so AJ, Rusev, Corbin, Sami, Nakamura, etc. can step up into the mix then so much the better.

You know, everyone says it's not supposed to make sense, like that's the whole point, dude. And I'm just saying, you know, that's like an excuse for lazy storytelling. Just don't sell me shite and tell me it's gold, all right? I might be stoned, but I'm not high. You know what I mean?

My favrorite thing about Jinder is how much of a perfect foil he is for Sami Zayn and maybe that motivates WWE to make it a Title feud. The A-hole who whines about how's hated because of being ''different'' gets countered by the beloved Syrian-Canadian.

I'd be a cheesy but nice little story about how people love you for who you are and not where you're from. I'd be ok with it even if Zayn won just to get cashed in on 5 minutes later.

While I've yet to watch the event, the news that RKFO lost his world title to Jinder Freakin' Mahal has blissfully warmed the cockles of my heart as I chortle with irony.

I just watched the main event. I am so happy for Jinder it's silly. Even knowing the result I still jumped out of my seat when he won. Say what you will about him, the guy paid his dues and - surprisingly - looked totally in place as WWE Champ.

I'm pretty stunned. Good for him and great work.

Another thing that seems to be overlooked, is that the match was pretty damn good. Not match of the night (AJ/Owens takes that), but it was a much better worked match than either of Wyatt and Orton's matches were.

Don't mind the Jinder win, due to the fact that Orton should never have gotten a 13 title reign. This is all about business. The WWE has a huge market available to them in India. So it makes sense from every angle. The only thing that leaves me a bit empty is my brother's question after Mahal's win.....Wasn't this guy playing air guitar a couple of years ago?

That's no big deal. A couple of years before he won his first title Stone Cold was doing Hulk Hogan impersonations for ECW. And The Rock debuted wearing something that a male stripper in a gay bar would dress up in. Kevin Nash as Oz? Hunter as Terra Rizing? Everyone, even the greats, has to show some ass as they're working their way up.

Mediocre show. It's been all of two days, and I honestly couldn't tell you off the top of my head anything that happened other than the Jinder thing. Oh wait, Sammie Zayn won.

As far as Jinder goes? I give zero shits. I don't hate him, nor do I think this is some revolutionary new concept. I'm simply shrugging at the whole thing as I feel exactly the same way about Randy Orton as champion. We'll see how it goes from here, and I'll make a judgement that's more substantial in a month or two.
