Todd Grisham makes racist
Tweet about Ichiro.
That article is pure crap. Grisham's tweet, while stupid and never should have been sent out, was hardly
racist. Grisham never said anything about Ichiro's race in that tweet, only about not speaking English. Also, the writer of that article has a
pure bias against ESPN in general. That is nothing more than a columnist blowing something up to get attention.
I don't know if it was racist so much as xenophobic. Mostly it just showed complete fucking ignorance because it's common knowledge that
Ichiro speaks perfectly fine English but uses the interpreter to prevent misunderstandings with the press. But say he couldn't speak English. So
fucking what? He's got an interpreter right there. What business is it of anyone's to give a shit? Basically it just showed that Todd
Grisham is a tool regardless of his company of employment.

Oh, I agree. Todd Grisham was being a tool and shouldn't have tweeted it. I
am simply stating this clown of a writer is trying to blow that up into Todd being a racist simply to get attention for himself and to fuel his
anti-ESPN agenda. I am trying to get people to take the tweet for what it is, not what this idiot writer is trying to make it out to be.

Agree with both of you, especially Roy's take on the toolrod of an author trying to put another notch in his anti-ESPN Campaign. I honestly
think Grisham was trying to be funny here, knowing he does speak English... but just failed miserably

Everyone should have an anti-ESPN agenda, considering they have their own agenda of "be as stupid and obnoxious as possible for more attention and
ratings". Next to FOX News they seem to be the biggest bunch of fratboy dickheads in broadcasting.
You know, everyone says it's not supposed to make sense, like that's the whole point, dude. And I'm just saying, you know,
that's like an excuse for lazy storytelling. Just don't sell me shite and tell me it's gold, all right? I might be stoned, but

Despite lots of reports stating he was, it appears MVP will not be returning to the WWE. The reason backstage is that Creative "doesn't think
that character fits well with the planned direction of the product".

Just saw the Austin/Ambrose podcast and it definently felt off. Austin tried to get Ambrose to open up more about his past and Ambrose shut him off at
every turn, he also put all the blame on his underwhelming WM match solely on Brock. To end things, Austin tries to give Ambrose a set up to deliver
some good lines by saying he shouldn't stay complacent and go for more only for Dean to basically say ''whatever.''

Saw that. Ambrose seems like he's a tough nut to crack. Even moreso now after he managed to deflect Stone Cold's patented "keep
interrupting to ask the same question until he's satisfied with the answer" interview approach. It's a tired clich but he definately
marches to the beat of his own drummer. My guess is he probably had a rougher upbringing than he let's on. There's not too many folks who
get into the whole Deathmatch scene, going through pallettes of glass tubes, bumping regularly on thumbtacks, or letting someone go to town on them
with a weed-whacker without having SOME leftover issues from adolescence.
I love Stone Cold, but I really have to kind of give it up for Dino last night digging in his heels and not letting Steve dictate the conversation.
Sure, it was kind of awkward, but it was 100% Ambrose.

Odd version of the SCP with Ambrose. Austin kept hitting the family thing and Ambrose clearly did not want to talk about it. At all. Ambrose was
pretty alright on Colt's podcast (if I'm remembering correctly) so it was a bit weird to watch he and Austin dance around direct questions
and answers. Stone Cold kind of questioning whether or not Ambrose cared about being on the show was the second highlight, behind Ambrose laying the
blame for Mania at Brock's feet.
It's not a hidden fact that Brock doesn't give a shit and just wrestles for the paycheck, but it was a bit interesting to actually hear it
from the current champ on the WWE network and not some interview with Shoemaker on the Ringer. It was blatant during the match and it turns out that
Brock didn't want to work with Dean and sandbagged that feud, especially after Ambrose fought HHH.
Austin can say what he wants about the questions he asks, but he's definitely sure not to step on any toes. His line of questioning was rather
weak. It's not like he's Barbara Walters on his podcasts, but this felt like he had preapproved questions and that's all he could
ask. He really should have busted Ambrose's balls about him saying that he didn't want to wrestle since that video is on youtube and
available for everyone to see.

Regarding Joey Styles, the sheets are reporting that he was released do to comments made during a Facebook Q&A; recently. Styles criticized the new
announce team as well as the name of the "Universal Championship". What got him the most heat were comments made about Roman Reigns and his forced
push as a top babyface:
Thats part of it: Moms are the ones who bring kids to shows. Kids like Roman Reigns. Moms like Roman Reigns. Thats the reason. Just because some
people boo him doesnt mean everyone doesnt like him.
Bottom line is, if our chairman thinks he sees a future star as a babyface, thats how things are gonna play out But the answer is Vince thinks it
can work. Hes been right much, much, much, much, much more than wrong over the course of the last 40 years. Im sorry, but Im not gonna second-guess
the chairman.
Doesn't seem too controversial to me...

Not to turn this into the "Dean Ambrose/SCSA podcast" thread but I've watched the first 15 minutes or so and am glad I'm not the only
one who found the whole thing odd. Was Dean drunk?

Also thought the Ambrose - Stone Cold Podcast wasn't very good. Worse than the one with Paige even.

I think what might have set the tone was SC repeadedly asking about upbringing stuff and Dean-o's steadfast refusal to answer that kinda queered
the rest of the show. It seemed like from that point on Ambrose wasn't gonna play normal Q & A and just went into surly weirdo mode. Dean seemed
almost Punk-esque, like when he would have a bad interview, but without any of the latter's relatively sharp retorts and general axe to grind
eloquence.
Or they got mixed messages and SC went for more PG-13 earnest while Dean was stuck in kayfabe mode, or it was intended to stay more in kayfabe mode by
all parties involved and it was meant to be awkward? The latter would make sense for the 'Lunatic Fringe' character butting heads and
giving the high hard one to SC in an interview.
Dunno, but I'm of the opinion that something was a bit off about the whole operation.

The interview was weird. Here is what I gathered. Austin only has an "ON button" meanwhile Ambrose has an "ON/OFF switch". Seemed like Ambrose
only gives a shit about wrestling and entertaining. He doesn't give a shit about anything else and pretty much answered everything else with
"meh" which seemed to piss Austin off.
Austin seemed to not understand how Ambrose could be so, "fuck it" all the time. Of course Austin turned that into accusing Ambrose of dogging it
which is ridiculous. Austin simply couldn't understand Ambrose's ON/OFF button.
Edit: In general I've found people who get worked up by everything can't comprehend people who don't, and it really pisses them
off.

That's just a red herring. In truth, they just signed Bram to another contract extension and
He's debuting a Damien Sandow gimmick

With the brand split and some past talent being brought back, I'm kinda surprised that Sandow wasn't offered a spot back on the roster.
My issues with TNA aside, I legit hope it works out for the guy. My issues just stem from the management, not the talent.

I was a huge fan of the original Damien Sandow gimmick (the pink tights, the condescending promos, the cartwheeling, etc) so if they bring him in with
something like that, and not the crappy "imitate a different wrestler every week" schtick, that would give me a legit reason to tune into Impact.

I saw Sandow on WCPW, the smarky Youtube wrestling fed, this week. He was going by his real name, Aron Stevens, but also got introduced as "The
Wrestler formerly known as Damian Sandow" and was in full towel/robe mode. I dunno if that would fly in TNA, though. The crowd on WCPW was definitely
seriously into him, even if his match was kind of crap (to be fair, Doug Williams landing on his head and knocking himself stupid halfway through
probably didn't help).
