2009 WWE Draft Results Summary
March 14, 2009

by Rick Scaia
Exclusive to OOWrestling.com

Well, plus 10 to WWE for reading their OO and plucking some of my good ideas out of my Monday pre-Draft/State of WWE column... but minus several million for BREAKING UP MIZ AND MORRISON EVEN THOUGH I EXPLAINED RIGHT THERE IN BLACK AND WHITE WHY THAT'S THE DUMBEST IDEA EVER!!! Jesus H. Christ...

And minus another couple bazillion for whatever it is these twits are doing in this "Supplemental Draft." Twelve more picks into it, and I think they've broken up (for absolutely no discernable or defensible reason other than "OMG it's a swerve~!") another 7 or 8 teams or partnerships. In DIRECT VIOLATION of Monday's Talking Point #2, which merely used Miz and Morrison as the BEST EXAMPLE of something stupid WWE could do in terms of breaking up established pairs for no reason.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for those who got picked and sent to new homes where they have even LESS going for them than before... or to feel worse for thier orphaned partners (like Layla's squeeze William Regal or Zeke's meal ticket Brian Kendrick or Finlay or I could go on and on and on) who are staying in their old homes. Either way, I'll eat a bug if we're not getting a sneak peak into who's getting Future Endeavor'd in the very near future as WWE institutes Spring Cleaning Mode.

About today's extra draft picks: I guess I lied (although out of ignorance, not out of malice): the Supplemental Draft wasn't until just now (Wednesday). Not on Tuesday, like I said. So, thus, there's been no reason until this afternoon for me to make up the traditional fancy, easy-to-follow, color-coded table showing which stars have moved to which brand. [The red column are new RAW stars, the blue column are new SmackDown stars, and the gray column are new ECW stars; those asterisked were part of the supplemental -- not main -- draft.]

For future reference, as I'm sure we'll be discussing the draft and its fallout in upcoming OO columns (so keep on checking back, kids!), here you go:
