OO HEAT RECAP
What Else Were You Expecting?
November 18, 2002

Easy to Please: Three things they could do to make me want to buy the PPV tonight
  • Test worries about retribution - seeing as his Immunity ran out last night.
  • Kidman reveals he wants the Cruiserweight belt because he remembered it's power to get chicks
  • Rey promises to defend this tag team title at least more than the other one he holds

TV 14 LV entertainment Elimination Chamber (1:00) open - NYC NY MSG FANS YELLING

Your hosts are Coach and Lita who are High Above. "The buzz has been going around all night long!" They'd like to talk about the elimination chamber - it looks ominous, but it also looks like Eric said that they couldn't show it to us on Heat. You'll have to buy the PPV (or watch RAW) to see it. It's a six man Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Title. Much more on that later, but now some talk about the WWE Title match - Brock vs Big Show. Victoria vs Trish in a Hardcore Match for the Women's Title.

That will get our first video package - from Fitness Model pictures to Trish winning at Unforgiven to . They're getting good mileage out of that psycho music. This is Trish's 7 title defense since she won the title two months ago - and Victoria's FOURTH title shot in that time. I hope she has an actual plan this time. (1:37) One more look at the graphic. Anything goes.

Ripped from Survivor Series for you on Heat - Goldust/Hurricane vs Storm/Regal - in about 45 minutes.

"Courtesy of Confidential" - the Scott Steiner feature from last night. (3:25) Which way will he go which way will he go

Earlier Today, Saliva had an exciting SOUND CHECK.

Moments Ago (because we can't have two Earlier Todays in a row), Stacy Kiebler bugged Salvia in the fruit eating room - they talk, but it's all just to set up one Stacy line: "There's nothing a Testicle likes better than Saliva!"

Saliva's Always is the Theme Music of Survivor Series.

Greyhound Triple H easily Pedigrees HBK of Monday - hmm, interesting choice

Let's take a look at that six man graphic one more time. And let's not look at the chamber again. Instead, let's look at people look at the chamber. Steel and chains and bullet proof plexiglass, oh my. Here are the Elimination Chamber rules:

  • 4 Superstars will be confined in the internal chambers
  • 2 Superstars will start in the ring
  • Every five minutes, another superstar will join the match
  • Elimination occurs after pinfall or submission
  • The last remaining superstar will be the World Heavyweight Champion.

20 minutes before any eliminations, you gotta figure. This will be Triple H's 6 title defense since being awarded the title.

Jericho being on Fox Sports Net - The Best Damn Sports Show - he says he's going to win, so I don't need to watch to find out. Thanks! (:40)

Rey/Edge defend the WWE Titles against Angle/Benoit and Guerrero/Guerrero - let's go from the tournament final to the problems to the title change to last week. This is a pretty good video package. (3:13)

Coming up later, that tag match.

WWE Anthology Cuts - "Time to Rock and Roll" (:53)

Moments Ago - Eric Bischoff (Eric knows about HEAT?) thought about knocking on Stephanie's door - but did not. This is Heat after all. Anyway, this leads into Coach pointing out this is the first time since Halloween they've been in the same building at the same time and yes, that angle is not dead in the least.

Now, for something totally different - Tough Enough highlights feature Jamie crying a bunch. (2:48) Lita: "Don'tcha know, there's NO CRYING in the WWE!"

SmackDown! 4 Jamal table splash on Spike and Jeff from Last Monday

Six Man Tag tonight - Jeff/Spike/Bubba vs 3 Minute Warning. Also, Noble vs Kidman for the Cruiserweight Title - this is Noble's ninth title defense (although only "PPV Title matches only" Brock has defended his title less frequently) and Billy's third title shot (first since July 27th). Brock vs Big Show for the WWE Title (3rd Defense - first non-Undertaker)  - let's look at how that came about. Whatever happened to the rumor about Undertaker showing up at SmackDown! last week - Cole needs better info, I think. (2:28)

Your tag title match is NEXT.

Scott Steiner - "Boom Shaka Laka" (:25)

They STILL won't show us the chamber. Well then, I won't buy the PPV. Coach sends us down to ringside

William Regal and Lance Storm (combined weight 470 pounds, w/flags) vs the Hurricane (215 pounds, WWE Anthology) and Goldust (Hollywood, CA, 260 pounds) - Camera operators take care to shoot low enough that we don't see even the bottom of the chamber. They're using the entrance facing the camera. No elaborate set up (not much room at that spot), but there's a video wall that opens it to allow the wrestlers to enter, which is neat looking. Could make it real tough for run-ins, because it doesn't open that quick. Your hosts are JR and the King - did JR forget the name of the show for a second - they've got a high perch beyond the floor level seats, I think. King says they'll show us the cage - after the show starts. BOO. I bet JR doesn't call the Shining Wizard. Hurricane does the mask giving bit. Hurricane and Storm to start. Lockup, Storm with a waistlock, Hurricane armdrags out. Whip, head down too soon so Lance kicks it (kinda). Lance off the ropes, into the jumping clothesline. Jumping neckbreaker, Nick briefly distracted by Regal one two no. Regal tries to get in again and is warned, Hurricane with a corner kick and Goldust is in to complain about Regal - that allows Regal to drop Hurricane neck first on the top rope. A security guy walking around in the background clues in how we're going to work run-ins - the "door" is back far enough that you can get to the tunnel by walking around it. There's some room on the side to just to keep in waiting to run out from in front of the door, but out of the view of the camera. Lance covers one two no. Lance tags, holds, and Storm stomps. Was that an Exploder from Regal? I must be imagining things or at least calling suplexes by wrong names. One two no. One two no. Tag to Lance, Storm with forearms, and Lane with a cover one two no. Hanging suplex - no Hurricane behind, reverse roll up but Regal made a blind tag - right hand from Regal to break up the non-pin. Knee knee double knee. One two Goldust breaks it up. Tag to Storm, stomp. Corner whip, corner clothesline. Corner whip, charge into an elbow. Overcast and maybe Goldust will get in - tag to him. Right for Lance Right for Lance. Right for William. Whip, backdrop for Storm. Inverted Atomic drop for Regal and a clothesline. Storm charges into the Director's Cut one two NO Regal breaks it up. Hurricane with rights for Regal as Goldust works over Lance in the opposite corner - whipped into each other, Lance slides under, Regal gets the butt bump - goozle, CHOKESLAM on Storm! Patrick decides that while Hurricane is celebrating is the perfect time to remind him that he needs to get out of the ring. Goldust is setting up for the Shattered Dreams on Storm, but Regal is back up, weak looking shot to the upper back of the Goldust, and Lance reverses to a cradle one two three (3:03) I guess he had knucks? He did seem to be reaching for something when he was on the mat a second before but we didn't get a good shot, and then he was right back out of the ring and dropped whatever it was out. Hurricane looks like he wants to say something about it, but then spots something and decided fleeing is the better option - it's Tommy Dreamer, running in from the camera side (which will also work), with a Singapore cane for everyone - Shot for Regal, Shot for Storm, Shot for Regal, Shot for Storm! Crowd goes NUTS. Dreamer explains this by pointing to his jaw - he remembers that. Nick Patrick also did a nice job of moving for higher ground here. I guess we get no explanation of that finish because we're out of time

And I mean "out of time except for one last Elimination Chamber video to 'Always'" (2:44)
