OO HEAT RECAP
The B-Shows Go Content-Free:
Week 2, Part 2
July 11, 2005

by The Cubs Fan
OnlineOnslaught.com/TheCubsFan.com

These commercials SpikeTV keeps running for UF2, with the tag line "see how it feels when it's REAL" are somewhat less than subtle.

SpikeTV is doing a Bond marathon? What are the odds!

TV PG LV CC entertainment open

Your hosts are Todd and Coach is too big to really need an introduction(, kid.) Todd's had like twelve cups of coffee before they filmed this. What a shock, we'll be seeing the DVD they showed on Velocity last week.

Y2J and Y2C on the Highlight Reel. OH NO

not the Experience clips again. What a random editing job, going from Jericho performing to Cena telling him he's sold out. (Jericho should be happy he's sold out!) It don't get realer than John Cena, especially when he calls people homie! Why couldn't they have said "lame" instead of "cheap"? Cheap sucked. (4:26)

Next: shill shill shill

Why Gorillaz? Why?

Oh boy, Yu Yu Hakusho is back as sponsor. I love that guy!

Coach and Todd discuss Barry Manilow, and Coach sings a bit of "Mandy." So this is what the bottom feels like. Todd shills like he's never shilled before.

The Greatest Stars of the 80's: Sgt. Slaughter. At least they're picking different clips. Sheik interview - short enough to make sense of it. We can't show blood on this show! Slaughter explains how he was responsible for many car accidents. Iraq Sympathizer stuff. (5:13) Of course they're showing this so we segue to Diva Search stuff, but that's later.

WWE Rewind, sponsored by WrestleMania 21: Chavo no longer exists - you may now only call him "the Total Package."

Speaking of white people, Coach reaffirms he wasn't traded.

Raw in Asia. No fake Rock? Holy cow. (1:10)

you can't believe how much time we have to fill this week theatre: John Cena's "Bad, Bad Man" video.

Next: a much better match from SummerSlam than the one on Velocity.

SummerSlam: 6 Weeks Away

WWE 24/7 Presents: Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels, in a Ladder Match for the IC Championship from SummerSlam '95. This is clipped, as you might expect. They really should just air good matches or 24/7 programming for these hours. It'd be more of an advertisement for the service than just sticking the logo in places. Shawn really about killed himself on that leap for the belt. Watching him throw a fit after not getting it the second time is always fun.  (7:34) So obviously we're building to a Hogan/HBK ladder match here.

RAW Live
Monday - Continental Airlines Arena [RAW]
Friday - Lexington, KY [RAW Live]
Saturday - Louisville, KY [RAW Live]
Sunday - Wildwood, NJ [RAW Live]
Next Monday - Philadelphia, PA [RAW]

Slam of the Week, presented by the Devil's Rejects: Rene Dupree, back on RAW again. Oh look, he beat Val! I can't wait for the Heat rematch.

Coach and Todd pretend to care about Dupree for a second. One bad segue better, Diva Search talk - they made the NY Post! That's important to people who live in NY!

Boot Camp highlights. I bet none of these people can make balloon animals. (1:50) WWE.com hype.

Todd: "I have a confession to make: I like Divas."
Coach: "I have a confession to make: you're a goof!"

Next: Kurt Angle and Carrrrrrrrrrrlito vs HBK & Hulk Hogan, as explained by HBK.

Todd and Coach plug some VH1 Show. Coach: "...new hit reality show..." Todd (and me!): "How do you know it's a hit reality show if it hasn't started yet?" Coach knows all.

HBK saves Hogan on the Highlight Reel. (:20)
The tag match. (5:34) Todd: "Tell me if I'm wrong, but that was the most shocking thing we've seen on RAW in years!"

RAW: answers from HBK?
RAW: first Diva Loser
Oh, Todd says the forbidden words "New Jersey".

That's it.
